Just finished watching 'Heartbeat' on ITV3. Appearing were Dickie Bird, Brian Close and Raymond Illingworth, but also Martin Bicknell....and the next episode written by Peter Gibbs (Oxford University and Derbyshire). All on a February evening!

She is beautiful, and maybe sees through the noise and sees those who genuinely want the best for our country? (Remember, David Blunkett's dog disliked Putin!)

Snickers is the Thai street dog who brought me a gift every single day when I fed her.
Today was a very special day for her as we were giving her the news that every single dog in the world deserves.
Nobody deserves it more… (1/8)
On this day, at around this time in 1963, John Fitzgerald Kennedy, President of the USA was assassinated. I think those of us who were around then remember what we were doing. Few moments in our lives hold that memory.

Tim Farron, "The unpleasantness about this debate is only matched by the lack of proper information" #BBCQT
"85% of refugees settle in the country next to where they come from"
"The French take 3x more refugees than we do"
"The Germans take 4x more refugees than we do"
"If you put us back in the European Union, we are 19th in the league table when it comes to the number of refugees we take per capita"
"Do we need deterrents? Yes. The best deterrents is competence. If we assess people when they arrive - and they are not illegal immigrants - they are people seeking asylum.. From Sudan.. Afghanistan.. Iran.. Syria.. 90%+ turn out to be genuine refugees"
"If we have a competent government, and we haven't had one, let's see about this one.. And you assess them quickly.. And return the ones that are not refugees"
"That is your deterrent"
"Rwanda was a waste of money.. If they spent that money on case workers we could have processed these people, returned the ones that weren't refugees in a humane way, and let th eones who are genuine refugees, become British, pay their taxes, be part of our country, and we should be proud to admit them"
Very well said @timfarron 👏
On the day when a @leicsccc left arm quick might have made his debut for England, I received a phone call from the son of a similar bowler for the county of the '50s, Jeff Goodwin. Here is his cap and ball with which he took 8 for 81 against Sussex in 1956..and an 8 wicket win!
Strangely enough this popped up this morning....and I saw a delightful performance @KHTheatre last evening. Thank you. And we weren't cold, the show and setting was so perfect.
