A very interesting episode of #SingleMaltHistory. It focuses on sectarian violence in Ireland in the 20th century. Listen to it. It is what will happen if we lose the veneer of civility. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas…

WAS THIS ELECTION ABOUT ISRAEL?
Ask the voters. 39% said the economy was the most important issue facing the country. 33% said democracy.
Foreign policy got 4%. Not just Israel. Every country on earth, combined.
This election was about American issues and American policies.

It’s Orwellian being a secular Jew right now. You have a lot of liberal friends, but you no longer fit the camp.
So you watch from afar as they celebrate the blue wave, convinced they just crushed tyranny and saved America.
And you’re thinking, shit… what they’re actually cheering is the election of a Senator and several Congresspeople whose agenda is to sever American ties with the only Jewish state, and whose ideology is the same socialism our grandparents fled a century ago. All from a party now vowing to “stop AI,”handing China the lead in the technology that will decide the next century.

The big thing about DeSantis for me is when shit really goes down and I'm panicking - he is always a light in the storm. He is a beacon of calm and clarity which is truly lacking right now throughout the entire party.

Russell Brand was not granted conditional bail and will be taken into police custody until his sentencing on Monday.
He was found guilty on one count of rape and three counts of sexual assault. variety.com/2026/tv/global/r…

As I said pre-election, real masculinity is moving Left in direct response to what MAGA has become.
Most men are not seedy online internet trolls that hate women. Most men are not sycophants desperate for a perceived strongman, too stupid to know when they're being sold out. Most men are not racists, bigots, or degenerates. Most men will stand up to injustice, corruption, and authoritarianism.
Never confuse Twitter or comment sections for real life (or even real people). There's a tiny group of loud losers online condoning all of this, and they're sucking all of the oxygen out of the internet because they have nowhere to go and no one to see outside of it.

Russell Brand has been found guilty of rape and sexual assault. I'm shocked because I was certain he would get away with his crimes.
The fact that Brand is a rapist was an open secret on the British comedy circuit. A friend of mine knows one of his victims.
One of the things I learned over the last few years is how many people in the entertainment industry are good, decent people and how many are compromised by their own desire for power, money and clicks.
Francis and I shared what we knew about Brand with people who were thinking of working with him and many of them immediately recognised we were telling the truth and stopped any association with him. Others, not so much.
This is even more true of his former employers like Channel 4 and the BBC. I am not saying everyone at those organisations knew but many people definitely did and they not only didn't say anything, some of them actively protected him.
I hope the verdict today brings closure and peace to his victims and serves as a reminder to powerful people who abuse their position to take advantage of others that they won't get away with it forever.
