Trunk-or-treat quietly destroyed Halloween, and nobody wants to admit why. Instead of kids exploring neighborhoods, learning independence, and knocking on doors, parents park 40 SUVs in a sterile church lot at 3 PM to hand out candy in 15 minutes flat. It was never about "safety." It’s about hyper-convenience, institutional paranoia, and the collapse of community trust. Did we replace the best night of childhood with an outdoor drive-thru, or is the old way actually too dangerous now?

This weekend has been full of spats with Protestia and my good brother, David Morrill, over what I believe is a huge biff over discernment. Despite being the good man I know him to be, he's wrong. Terribly. And I hate having to point that out. But here we go. The central issue here isn't that Morrill believes Sey should not be deported. To his credit, and unlike many on his side of this issue, Morrill hasn't alleged that Sey should stay. Rather, Morrill is working overtime to defend Protestia and others in the camp who have alleged that. At this point, it's damage control. Instead, the central issues are two-fold. First, Morrill alleges that not enough evidence has been made public or verified to show that Sey did anything wrong/illegal intentionally. He is arguing, to paraphrase, that the jury is still out. This is essential to the faux-right argument. David Morrill is not faux-right, in my opinion. But he is making arguments for them. In the name of Christian charity and cautious wisdom, David is appealing to the supposed Christian virtue of being slow to make a judgment call. And for about the first five minutes of this scandal, Morrill's posture was correct, good, and godly. Without information, it is good to be slow to come to conclusions. And then, it became the seeds of bad discernment, the moment facts were dismissed in the name of charity. The reason this is essential for the evangleical faux-right is that if Sey knew he was an illegal alien, while criticizing Nationalism, it would greatly undermine their current war against Christian Nationhood. Sey has been invested in heavily, like a manufactured product, checking all the necessary demographic boxes to be useful in the evangelical civil wars over cultural issues, despite the limitations of his intelligence and mental capacities. And now, Sey has been deported from the evangelical plantation. They want their property back. The fact is, nobody cares what an illegal alien thinks about nationhood, when they came under false pretenses, stayed beyond their welcome, and then illegally raised funds from Christians so as to undermine Christian Nationhood full time. Admittedly, they've already lost this point. It's too late to spare them that embarrassment, and that is how this ordeal will ultimately be remembered. The second central issue is that Morrill alleges - and this is my paraphrase, not his - that the Christian Nationalists, happy to see the law finally enforced, have had an inappropriate attitude, that publicly thanking God for immigration enforcement is somehow inappropriate, or that even at this point, people are acting without the necessary information. I'm providing this Intel Drop, free to the public, to refute a dossier Morrill presented only moments ago to defend himself against accusations I made personally. That accusation is that an article attacking Christians supportive of Sey's deportation that Protestia published began with a certifiable untruth. I've never known David to lie, and would be as hesitant to believe that as he is to believe an illegal alien doesn't know they're illegal. But it was an untruth, which I will demonstrate here. The untruth was a claim made in the article's first breath that the validity of Sey's deportation is "disputed." I called it an untruth, and David produced this dossier to defend his word choice and maintain the claim that the truth remains uncovered. Before I get to the facts, I'll preempt it with assurances that I will not hold the defenses given of Sey by others around David's neck like an albatross. That would be unfair. It would also poison the well before we start, and it's already plenty poisoned with lies as it is. But that doesn't include Protestia, which David has owned and run since I departed. That's on him. Samuel Sey's most prominent defenders uniformly have had to walk back their reflexive defenses - time and again - when it became clearer what the facts were. They've been moonwalking out of their initial claims since. It began with confident assurances that he was here legally, that his detention involved a "clerical mistake," and that critics were spreading "slander." Those who insisted they'd die on that hill have subsequently slid down the hill as fast as possible. David Morrill’s subsequent dossier wisely offers a much narrower defense: intentional wrongdoing remains plausible but unproven. Welp, let's see if that's the case by looking only at the facts. Sam Sey crowd: "Thank God he only got deported to Canada and not Ghana. That would have been HORRIBLE." Same crowd: "Race isn't even real. All nations and cultures are the same as long as they have Christ." Ghana: 71.3% Christian. Avg. IQ: 58 U.S: 62% Christian. IQ: 100 Now ask yourself, why would it be such a horrible thing for Sey to go back to his native country?
