Will AGI still be able to replace people?
If artificial general intelligence (AGI) replaces people at work, we will face a global economic and social transformation.
The trillion-dollar labor market will disappear in the classical sense, the cash flows will go to technology owners, and humanity will be forced to move to new systems like unconditional basic income (UBI) or look for the meaning of life outside of work.
Economic collapse and new rules
If the need for human labor disappears, the traditional model of capitalism, where people earn and spend money, may break.
• Capital and profits will be concentrated in the hands of data center owners and AGI developers
• The economy will demand radical reforms, such as the introduction of guaranteed state income
• Society will move from production to consumption of services and the search for internal meanings
