full transparency, folks have been asking how i am/where i am. been having some health issues that i'm being seen for + general mental funk over those issues. i don't know how long this will be an obstacle. i spend a lot of my free time trying to distract myself, but it's a lot.
finding that balance of doing things i want to do with my streams and things people will enjoy is super hard, especially lately. i've gotten so burnt out on the games my community enjoys. i do still have people who stop by for the games i like, but i worry about boring people. 🧵
but then i think about the advise i would give someone in my position. "do what you want to do!! it's okay! it is your stream!" and while i do still believe that i think there's a transition period that's uncomfortable as you do more of the things you like on stream.
so like... it feels illegal to share art of my new design but i just love it so much and i can't wait to throw it at you guysss

if you're worried about commissioning an artist who doesn't like your design, try searching for people who frequently draw your aesthetic or niche! i've generally found that those people tend to be most excited to draw my design. 🩷
Using Google Forms to allow people to disclose anonymously what they want to watch may help in this circumstance.
That said, in this context "we are there for you" would likely be something along the lines of "we support what you do! do what you want!" and not a commitment to watch. They have just many real life constraints as we do, and sometimes can't make stream. But many of those people go back and watch your VODs or like and comment on short form content that comes from those streams.
I will always be an advocate of just playing the games you want to. If you're having fun, you're more likely to be entertaining imo. Nothing is worse than playing a game you can't stand and the hours just dragging by while also trying to be entertaining.

One of the things I really struggle with as a neurospicy individual is white lies and sugar coating.
Ex. "Stream what you want, we are there for you!"
The numbers when I switch games prove this false time and time again. Why do people find it difficult to just admit they want to see a certain game? My brain does not grasp the idea of telling a small lie to convince me to do something that they don't have an interest in watching?
I can play whatever I want on my own time. I stream to be entertaining and to yap with people. Can someone explain the logic to me? I simply do not understand it.
