We just can't catch a break, can we? The EU Kids Act is nightmare fuel, if you look beneath the honorable surface claim of "protecting kids online". The breakdown: youtube.com/watch?v=mQRcK9nY… #StopKillingGames #StopKillingTheInternet

As confirmed earlier through our official channels, in mid-June of this year, we unexpectedly received notice from PlayStation Studios that they would cancel the PHYSINT project. PHYSINT is an important project both to me personally and to KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS. Determined to keep the project alive, we have spent the last three months searching tirelessly for a new partner. In the course of seeking advice and pursuing negotiations with people across many fields, we found in XBOX a partner with whom we share a common vision for the future, and we have decided to team up with them once again. Please rest assured that development of PHYSINT, our genre-defining action-espionage title, is ongoing and will continue moving forward.

you've still got people sleeping in offices and have fired employees for attempting to unionize. deeply evil company. the people actually making your forever game are gonna be out of work after november while your stockholders get a fat bonus. on top of milking the consumer for all they can and killing physical games in the process.

Dear all, We know that many of you have been waiting to hear from us regarding the events of the past week. It would be an understatement to say that having videos of Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay leak in this way has been heartbreaking for our team, and this is obviously not how we intended for you to see the game after all this time. We are very sorry that everything has taken as long as it has \u2014 from getting the game finished (nearly there!) to sharing more details and official gameplay, and providing the community with everything you want to know. We are very excited for everyone to see the extended look tomorrow. It has taken longer than we wanted to get it ready, but as with everything we do, we know we need to exceed your expectations, and we are determined to deliver at the level you expect and deserve.

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
PlayStation gains power over the consumer by disallowing new physical games and forcing digital. For example, in the EU, PlayStation’s ToS says your digital games can be deleted after 36 months of account inactivity. All your games you paid for, poof, gone. See Section 21. playstation.com/en-gb/legal/te…

Remember when they claimed that Gothic Remake can be played offline after the day one patch? That was a blatant lie! Multiple reports from RetroGameFuture and others have reached us, stating that you have to be online whenever you want to start a new game or load a savegame.

‼️🇪🇺 The EU's new Age Verification app was hacked with little to no effort. When you set it up, the app asks you to create a PIN. But that PIN isn't actually tied to the identity data it's supposed to protect. An attacker can delete a couple of entries from a file on the phone, restart the app, pick a new PIN, and the app happily hands over the original user's verified identity credentials as if nothing happened. It gets worse. The app's "too many attempts" lockout is just a counter in a text file. Reset it to 0 and keep guessing. The biometric check (face/fingerprint) is a simple on/off switch in the same file. Flip it to off and the app skips it entirely.
