A Quote From Today’s @BelTel Editorial.
‘Look instead to West Belfast, where Féile was bringing out thousands for a 1980s revival night.
That is the Belfast we should inspire to be, the Belfast that needs to be seen across the world.’

I caught up with @SeemaMisra7 a few moments ago at the #PostOffice inquiry. What’s happened to her is still so raw and difficult to talk about. She says she doesn’t accept former Fujitsu engineer Gareth Jenkins apology to her, “he could have done it ages ago" and “nobody can understand” what she’s been through.
Reminder of her story and why she finds it so hard to find closure: Seema was sent to prison when she was 8 weeks pregnant and eventually gave birth with an electronic tag on.
From inquiry today:
🔺Gareth Jenkins insists he did not lie in any of his evidence and did not intend in any way to be misleading when he was used as an expert witness by Post Office
🔺In a witness statement, Jenkins says he didn't know Seema Misra was pregnant when she was wrongly convicted in 2010 and sent to prison, which made it "even more tragic"

This is brilliant journalism from @ChrisMasonBBC on the £2,000 tax story - listen to how he cuts through the noise and takes us into his own dilemma in covering it. Chris is the BBC at it’s best.

I have spent time with some of the people who’ve done it, including @VickyPattison, to find out why they chose a procedure described as expensive and invasive but also empowering.
