Also this study is kind of like duh. Of course you found that people posted more negative things when they saw more negative posts & vice versa. That’s all they had to look at, comment on, and share! The risk far out weights the knowledge gains on this one.
Genuinely, the results are so small I do not know if they're scientifically significant. The study is still out there, if anyone more in this area wants to check: pnas.org/content/111/24/8788….
HORRIFYING. Why isn’t human research done by companies required to go through the same hoops as academics? Shame on those academics for using Facebook to get around the IRB. You all should know better & you make us all look bad in a time when no one trusts us anyway. DO BETTER.
Alright, because the documentary REALLY did not get into what the Facebook emotional contagion experiment was, I'm going to do a quick rundown of it and some broader issues with it.
