Have you seen our new window display? Our space got a makeover on Friday thanks to artist Grace Jandrell & members of our community! We were also visited by @katejosephs @CentralSheff & @HillsboroGreens to discuss joys & challenges of running a neighbourhood arts organisation 🍁

We are sickened by the racist violence that has taken place across Britain in the last few days. We stand in solidarity, rage, and grief with the people who have been targeted, in particular Muslims, migrants and our friends and partners in Rotherham. The diverse communities we serve are our priority, and our organisation is committed to anti-racist community work and partnerships in South Yorkshire and beyond. If you think we could lend you or your organisation support or resource in any way, please get in touch. Locally, if you're feeling unsafe out and about in Hillsborough, our shop front is always available to you when it's open. Just ring our doorbell and we'll be happy to invite you in, help you make a call, chat if you want to, or just make you a cup of tea. We must protect and care for each other. RivelinCo

The arts funding system in the UK really is broken when you have nearly 350 orgs submitting £66mil worth of requests (I would assume most of this is just core, multiyear) to one of the only core trust & foundation funders who only has £6.5mil to give a year.

Sessions are free or pay-what-you-can, & it is not a faith-based group - all are welcome. You don't need to have experience, and there are no auditions, ever! For access information, please head to rivelinco.org/access

It was great to meet with members from 12 arts centres at @TheAlbanySE8 yesterday, and to be working with Mark Robinson (@ThinkinPractice) again, as we support a new group to introduce the Most Significant Change method of evaluation across their organisations 🧵

We've been building community book boxes! Local groups came together to learn woodwork skills, then we held a great big decorating day with artist Grace Jandrell. As you can see, the finished libraries are absolutely beautiful & we hope people enjoy them for many years to come 😍

So great to be at @wearenewlocal #StrongerThings today, playing our part in a huge workshop with the fab @FootworkTrust team. We also had time to see talks & panels - lots to reflect on about community power & cross-sector approaches on tackling inequality. Thanks for having us!

We have devastating news 💔 A water pipe burst above our Hillsborough shop front, that we worked so hard to get & transform, & 75% of our stuff is destroyed. We have insurance but it doesn't cover all the costs. If you can help/share we'd be so grateful crowdfunder.co.uk/p/help-riv…
