We just assume students know how to Google search ... They don't. They know how to type words into a box but how to do it effectively and to analyze the results. We have to teach them.

By continuing to issue grades, GPA, rankings, and honor roll, we are confirming the theories that American education hasn't progressed, that the world has stood still, and that we are too afraid to abandon antiquated practices.

“Schools should become more learner driven, not data driven.” - @gcouros #RTMk12
RTI meetings should focus on what SS are passionate about so the teachers can leverage that. Focus on what they're not good at and you're developing future dropouts. #RTMK12 @gcouros

We can no longer bring teachers to the same PD and expect them to implement. You must deliver PD and follow up with what happens next to make it a sustainable process. (Stepney) #RTMK12
