A trawl through my old Facebook pics unearthed this shot of the Gazebo Tower we built at Glastonbury Festival in 2008. Complete with lights so its magnificence could be seen for miles around.

TIL that the red Porsche script, which still looks like it's from the future, first appeared in .... 1952. The work of Erich Strenger, who was responsible for much of the brand's publicity material for decades.

In today's episode of Keeping The Past Alive, my Rover now has working electric windows and mirrors. Stay tuned for the next exciting instalment.

Hot take: Electric window switches are better in the middle because you can operate them with your gear-changing hand. (I'll concede that this point is basically irrelevant if you don't have a manual gearbox).

Your occasional update on the legendary Twickenham Renault 5. It's still hanging on in there, gawd bless it.

After I posted the below, somebody three cars ahead read it, recognised the vehicles, and found me. That person is my old mate Jigar, who I'd not seen for at least 15 years. Were it not for Jeff Buckley man, I'd never have known Jig had been only three cars ahead in the queue.
Bad news: M25 is closed and we haven't moved for ages. Good news: driver next to me is playing Jeff Buckley really loud.

Gonna re-X this thread 'cos my feelings are unchanged.
I know they're mundane and hideous, but ever since I was a kid, I've really liked motorway service stations. Especially at night. They're un-places. Nobody's destination. A watering hole on a nomad's journey. Everybody's on their way somewhere. (More nonsense overleaf...)

So, I'm not keen on too much AI, but I just fed a rendering of a fantasy coach I made back in 2002 into Gemini, and I kind of love what it made of it.

And this is what AI should be used for. You feed it ideas, it adds gloss. You are the creator, it finalises the presentation.
