just because memecoins are down doesn't mean crypto is doing bad btw 😭 see so many people who think the entire market sentiment depends on the performance of memecoins. it doesnt.
Nobody wants to talk about this so I will:
There is barely any liquidity left in crypto.
The “best” narratives, the strongest communities, the coins everyone swore were different… they all keep ending the same way once the bid disappears.
$ASTEROID
$AI
$ANSEM
all had their moment. all had believers. all had people convinced they were the exception.
then the liquidity left.
Dare I even say $BONER.
Probably the one I still think has the best chance of coming back, but even there I’m not going to pretend the market is healthy just because I own the bag.
This isn’t about finding the next narrative.
There needs to be actual money coming back into the casino.
Until then, every rally is fighting over the same shrinking pile of liquidity.
i think one of the biggest factors in bringing retail back to crypto is repeated exposure to the right things.
think about how many songs you didn't like the first time you heard them, but after hearing them over and over, eventually they grew on you.
the average person hasn't spent years in this space. they haven't experienced the communities, the opportunities, or any of the things that make this space special to those of us who've been here for years.
their entire perception of crypto is built around whatever they're exposed to, and when that exposure consists almost entirely of hacks, rugpulls, scams, and people losing money, why would they ever want to participate?
you can't expect someone to develop an interest in something when every interaction they have with it reinforces a negative opinion.
To the dude who has been trying to get into my coinbase account for the past month, I'll just send you whats inside so my email stops getting spammed with password resets. Send your address bro, I'm sending $3
