Infographic sorts national flags by their age. Have a good look at the graphic. It's crazy to remember how new most flags (and the accompanying concepts of what counts as a nation) is. Source: buff.ly/2pV8lrY
I know there are good intentions for this but having it on by default for everyone seems to me like an overreach into peopleβs privacy. Warrantless search?
In @Apple iOS 27, on all adult phones (not just kids accounts) they have rolled out active image and video scanning.
This is on by default. Accidentally show too much cleavage during a FaceTime and it blurs out the image and cuts audio, then reports it back to Apple.
Those βencryptedβ and personal messages, calls, photos and videos you thought were private? ALL BEING PROCESSED BY BIG BROTHER.
The instigator? Well you can thank eKaren and the Labor government who met personally with Apple and in association with other globalists like the EU, felt they had a right to intercept your personal data and communications without a warrant.
Ai is being used to get around human laws by nefarious governments.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
On-device ML can detect nudity in FaceTime and blur/pause with a warning. Apple doesnβt receive or access the media unless the user reports it. In Australia, adults who havenβt confirmed age 18+ have Communication Safety on by default.

It's crazy how my entire LinkedIn feed is AI-slop content. No one cares to edit AI-written content. Here are 12 AI tells to delete & the 11 skills that fix it:
(all 11 skills are free here β claude-skills.free)
Delete these from your writing today-
1. "Delve." You've never said it out loud. Once.
2. "Crucial/pivotal." Nothing is that pivotal.
3. "Tapestry." No human speaks like this.
4. "Here's the thing." There is no thing.
5. "Hope this helps." It doesn't. It outs you.
6. "After careful consideration." without considering
7. "to provide a quick update." Just give the update.
8. "Most peopleβ¦" The lazy oversimplification.
9. "Robust / seamless / realm." The corporate AI.
10. Adverb abuse. "X quietly runs Y." Nothing runs.
11. "It's not X, it's Y." The famous AI sentence alive.
12. 'This isn't a budget. It's a statement of intent' No
These are my personally used 11 Claude skills that fix it:
1. /writer
It writes as a first draft with your style, not Claude's.
2. /editor
It removes all the AI dead giveaways.
Every sentence & word earns its place.
3. /fact-checker
Remove fake stats & random quotes.
Say one hallucinated number out loud, and nobody will trust you again.
4. /anti-AI style
The default rewrite. It breaks the obvious AI rythm.
5. /ban-the-AI-words
Audits the classic well known AI words, like "delve," "crucial," "tapestry"
6. /ban-the-AI-patterns
Restructure the go-to AI phrasing "It's not X, it's Y."
7. /sound like your posts
Upload your best written 5 posts, and it will write like YOU.
8. /humanizer
Remove any AI words and phrasing that manage to stay.
9. /red-pen
It will alert the week lines before any readers do.
10. /self-critique
Claude auditing and critiquing Claude.
11. /auto-block-banned-words
The safety net. No words that are on the red list ever get past again.

Anonymous online accounts threaten democracy and must be banned, say politicians. But now, the Australian government wants to use anonymous "sock puppet" bot accounts as part of its broader push for sweeping online censorship. Terrifying, unprecedented, and Orwellian.

Iβm old enough to remember Channel Nine SACKING Karl Stefanovic after he dared to interview Tommy Robinson.
Now theyβve sent a reporter to America to do a puff piece on the KKK in an attempted stitch-up of Pauline Hanson.
You donβt hate the media enough.
I just realised I know nothing, seen nothing, heard nothing about Kyrgyzstan...

Ojos encendidos, control apagado.

We found 42,000 accounts automating replies using chatbots and have removed them from the platform.
X's core value is providing an authentic pulse on humanity -- and using AI to programmatically engage with users without a human in the loop runs counter to our mission.

We're launching The Neutrality Project π, an independent, open-source research collective making AI influence measurable.
AI models answer billions of questions daily. They all come from somewhere: they validate certain options, treat particular middles as reasonable, and leave things out. That influence has been invisible until now.

We should bring a lot of this back - this is the Australia I remember growing up in.

Someone searched for a Munich publishing company on Google. the AI Overview came back with:
"Yes, [company] is known for dubious business practices."
then added a summary. red flags. tips for users to avoid the scam.
confident and structured but was completely made up.
the sources the AI cited said none of that the AI mixed the company up with genuinely shady firms and invented connections that existed nowhere on the internet.
the publishers sent Google a cease-and-desist. Google didn't respond adequately.
so they went to court.
the court's ruling:
AI Overviews are not search results. they are Google's own words. Google rewrote the web "in its own words and according to its own structure." therefore Google is the author. therefore Google is liable.
Google's defense: users know AI makes mistakes and should double-check.
the court's response: that's not how publishing law works.
Google's statement after the ruling: "AI Overviews are designed to reflect information that already exists on the web."
the information that destroyed two companies' reputations did not exist on the web.
the AI wrote it.
Google published it.
a court just decided those are the same thing.
every AI search engine. every chatbot. every platform that takes information and synthesizes it into a confident answer is now looking at this ruling.
When your AI gets it wrong, who pays?
π¨ JUST IN: Instagram Hit with 3 Critical Exploits in 2026 π¨
Metaβs platform has been a complete mess this year. Three major security flaws exposed users for days β some still active.
Exploit 1: Meta AI TakeoverHackers simply chatted with Metaβs AI support and got full account access. High-profile accounts (even Obamaβs White House IG) were hijacked. β
Patched (but damage already done).
Exploit 2: Mass Ban Exploit (Still Working) Just report a target account for βscam & fraudβ multiple times and watch it get disabled. No real verification needed.
Exploit 3: Phone & Email Reveal Exploit (Still Working) Sensitive backup phone numbers and emails exposed uncensored. Arabic hackers reportedly scraped millions of accounts already.
The bare minimum Meta could do right now is offer fast unsuspensions + proper support for everyone affected.
Instead, it looks like Mark Zuckerberg is staying silent and hoping it all blows over. πΆ
This is unacceptable from a trillion-dollar company.
