We're constantly asking ourselves how to make DashPass an absolute no-brainer - because adding new perks is great, but we have to make @DoorDash a place worth shopping every single day. Our updates today deliver on that. As we continue to expand the DoorDash Marketplace well beyond food delivery, the value of being a DashPass member just keeps compounding.
This year’s DashForward showcased another line up of how we’re building @DoorDash for the future. TLDR: we added more retailers for delivery with the ability to do returns, richer software for merchants to compete and grow same store sales, an AI agent to access DoorDash off app, and drones to deliver even more and faster in the last mile. More details👇: 1/ We’re bringing more categories online and available for fast delivery. The average customer in the US can now get 500K+ retail items delivered under an hour. Thrilled to be adding new brands like @Macys, @Vans, @thenorthface, and @Anthropologie. 2/ Returns: if something doesn’t quite fit, pay a flat fee to get a hassle free return. 3/ Text DoorDash: if you want an even faster way to order, soon you can just text us. 4/ DashOS: whether you order through our app, a restaurant’s website, via AI agents, or dine in person, we’re stitching together all of these pieces to give restaurant owners the most comprehensive view of their guests. 5/ DoorDash Air: having earned our Part 135 certification a couple of months ago, we’re excited to unveil DoorDash Air, our purpose built drone for delivery. Launch partners include @ChipotleTweets and @Popeyes! Video recap here: youtube.com/watch?v=QLqrp3uR…

We're constantly asking ourselves how to make a DashPass membership an absolute no-brainer. Sometimes that means adding a brand new member perk. But more often, the best way to make DashPass more valuable is simply making the entire @DoorDash platform a place worth shopping every single day. Today, we announced major updates that make your membership work even harder for you. DoorDash is a now mall in your pocket. You aren't just saving on delivery fees for dinner. You can now get over 500,000 retail items delivered in under an hour, from brands like @Macys , @Anthropologie, @thenorthface , @SKIMS, @Sephora, and @Gap . And if those jeans don't fit, our new Dasher Returns feature lets you request a Dasher to pick the item up right from your door and bring it back to the store for you. You can also just text DoorDash, and order your usual morning coffee in seconds, ask for help hunting down local deals, or automatically surface your exclusive DashPass perks right in your text thread. A subscription is only as good as the everyday utility behind it. As DoorDash continues to expand beyond food delivery, the value of being a DashPass member just keeps compounding. about.doordash.com/en-us/new…

Since we introduced DashPass, we’ve been obsessive about building it into the leading membership program in local commerce. We hold ourselves to a high standard to provide immense value for members, so they can get outstanding selection, convenience, and savings from DashPass every year. In our Q2 earnings this week, we shared several key insights, including DashPass’s recent growth. In the 12 months through Q2, we increased the number of U.S. paid DashPass members by more than we did in the previous 24 months combined! Start with the customer. That’s what’s worked @DoorDash : we’ve created a membership people genuinely want, and they order more often, across more categories, for more years. That philosophy showed up in Q2, where ~75% of our U.S. grocery & retail orders came from DashPass members. That’s the weekly shop, the household restock, the stuff people plan their whole week around—and DashPass is a big reason those categories are growing the way they are, with order rates and basket sizes climbing right alongside them. I also love what our cohort data shows: customer relationships deepen over time. As customers stay with DoorDash, they’re increasingly likely to become DashPass members, order more frequently, and generate more adjusted gross profit per MAU—reinforcing how a great customer experience creates long-term value. I’m stoked about our growth, and even more stoked about how we continue to improve #DashPass and make it best in class. Big thanks to the teams across DoorDash who keep raising the bar for our members, merchants, and Dashers. Read more about our recent second quarter results here: ir.doordash.com/news/news-de…

The FIFA World Cup 2026 champ will win because @Ibra_official picked them. But you still have to choose. 👀 DashPass members who pick the champ by 6/10 will split the prize of $5 million in DoorDash credits in the US and $1M in DoorDash credits in Canada.

Summer of DashPass is back! And we’ve timed it with the FIFA World Cup 2026™ right here in North America. What DashPass unlocks this summer goes way beyond savings (though the savings are real: eight weeks of up to 25–50% off at top brands like Domino's, Starbucks, Wendy's, Kroger, and 100,000+ local businesses). This year DashPass is your ticket to seats at a local match, a trip for two to the Finals, and free members-only buses to the stadium on game day. We’re also bringing fans together with VIP watch parties in NYC and Miami. DashPass members in the United States have a shot at splitting $5M in DoorDash credits if you call the champion – and Canadians can get in on the action too splitting $1M DashPass has always been about giving members more — more savings, more access, more exclusive benefits, more ways to enjoy the best of their neighborhoods. The FIFA World Cup™ in your backyard is a once-in-a-generation experience, and DashPass is here to help fans make the most of it! about.doordash.com/en-us/new… @DoorDash

The awful claims in this post clearly hit a nerve. To be clear: this Reddit post isn’t about DoorDash. Given how differently we operate, we thought we’d take a moment to share what our approach is actually like: about.doordash.com/en-us/new…
Holy fucking shit is right! This is not DoorDash, and I would fire anyone who promoted or tolerated the kind of culture described in this Reddit post. There’s so much wrong with this post. - Dashers are not “human assets.” - Having a metric like a "Desperation Score” is an abomination. - We’ve never had a “Driver Benefit Fee”. - Why would you charge for faster delivery but not make it faster?? We’re not perfect by *any* stretch of the imagination, but we work every day to make our platform better for everyone who comes to it. What’s described here is appalling, and if true, whoever is operating in this manner should be ashamed.
