As the NCAA women's hockey season nears, it seems a fitting time to remind the world there are SEVEN men's NCAA D1 programs in Michigan and ZERO women's NCAA D1 programs in the state:

I’ve worked with a lot of politicians & political staff over the past 25 years.
I’ll tell you this: I’ve never met a political Chief of Staff who hasn’t been tied at the hip with the politician they serve. That’s the job - to do the bidding of the elected member.
The idea that Ryan Amato, the Minister of Housing’s Chief of Staff, led what would be a highly contentious and smarmy process in direct conflict with public policy by selecting land for removal from the Greenbelt - and acted independently in doing so - is beyond ridiculous.
It’s incredulous. Both the Premier and the Minister need to come clean.
Maybe Ontarians were not paying attention before. But we are paying attention now. #GreenbeltScandal

If you can walk up to the Prime Minister and scream expletives about your freedom directly in his face, you might just live in a free country fuckwads.

So great to see so many Sharks at the @PWHPA game this afternoon - including our Barrie Jr Sharks Leadership team (Abby, Eden, Taylor and Jules) the U13-AA Sharks who enjoyed a VIP suite experience, and our U7 players on the ice at intermission!
So much fun working with Howie and Jim from the Colts to put this game together, and with Shannon Murree (@MovingSimcoe) as our presenting sponsor. A lot of happy hockey fans got to see women’s hockey at the highest level today!

Decem-beer 24th: Viva La Stout by @sawdustcitybeer. A fitting finale to the month & a great Christmas Eve pick. I taste every element of the cookie that inspires this beer: chocolate, raspberry, marshmallow & cookie. As one friend said “This is like dessert in a glass.”
Decem-beer 23rd: the penultimate day of the advent calendar is Victoria from @StonehookerBeer - a deliciously malty English Pale Ale. A highlight of the month!
Decem-beer 22nd: Not So Hazy from @KBCobeer. A slightly sweet and very mellow West Coast IPA. The last beer on the calendar from Kensington, which has been a very pleasant surprise.
Decem-beer 21st: Blairhampton Triangle from @BoshkungBrewing . A hoppy and slightly malty NEIPA with nice balance and only subtle bitterness.
Decem-beer 20th: Wizard Wolf from @bellwoodsbeer, while still big in citrusy hop flavour is somewhat more subtle than one might expect from the orange juice like appearance. Not quite as refined as the excellent Jutsu, but a great sidekick.
Decem-beer 19th: Blonde Ale from @PrinceEddys. Crisp, clean and easy without being boring. Crushable - should only be purchased in multiples of 6.
Decem-beer 18th: Wicked Humans from @sawdustcitybeer in collab with @TownBreweryCa. The Vista hops are clearly the star in this fantastic West Coast IPA without being overpowering. Like the beer version of an acoustic performance - impressive in its subtlety without being loud.
Decem-beer 17th: @StonehookerBeer’s Jack the RIPA. After 17 days I’m running out of unique ways to describe a great beer. (Hey Google, what’s a synonym for delicious?) Another awesome beer with malt forward flavours and a hint of rye nicely balanced by the right amount of hops.
Decem-beer 16th: Another Hazy Beer. (No seriously, that’s the name of it). @KBCobeer might call it “super hazy, super juicy with intense hop aromas” but I actually liked it for how balanced and moderate it seemed. A nice beer that succeeds by not going overboard.
Decem-beer 15th: Kungaroo from @BoshkungBrewing. An excellent English IPA that is both hoppy and malty at the same time, but very well balanced.
