Jenners

I was part of one of the last cohorts to ever receive a Bachelors Degree in Newspapers from UGA. Ever since then, I’ve carried with me a visceral visual image of what this industry is: The older institutions are icebergs that just keep getting blow-torched by the next new thing. Internet vs. print YouTube vs. TV AI vs. humans typing Social media vs. humans reading (you probably didn’t make it this far). The heroes of old are still among us. They just can’t keep charting the same old course the ones before them drew up and wore down. If you’re on this path, you better find a way to build yourself a boat. Because no matter which iceberg you think you’re safe on now, it’s fixin to catch a flamethrower lick here shortly. P.S. they don’t care if it’s good as long as it’s cheaper than paying you. Kill your dreams. Make something that people actually care about.
