The #njdevils put Hintze and Robertson, two guys who normally give them issues, on a milk carton tonight.

Here's another reason for the #NJDevils recent success: when they hit the line and are defended well, they're putting the puck into spots they can go get it and re-shape the attack. Felt like there was a lot of "hero puck" happening before. "Ill MAKE something happen" = turnover

Standing up at the blue line. Dominating defensive top of the circle to center. Making simple clears as needed. Never to rarely getting pinned in. Generating speed into the attack zone, creating REAL finish-able chances rather than the previous fake "expected" chances. #njdevils

Ive seen 2 other posts, with different terms. Most deals don't get signed in the dead of night, with the player on the road. Also, pro tip..you cant force-tweet a contract cause yer scrrrd

I hate losing Dawson Mercer, as he is what this team needs more of. HAVING said that... Daws, Command another non roster player and a 2nd and 7th? No 1sts, no other roster players. This is a GREAT trade.

Interesting if true... and without knowing the details, but assuming that Mercer is part of this, I truly hope this team continues to FOCUS on the defense, and doesn't decide to just start winging it because this guy is back there. That will lead to my aformentioned .891sv%

Players are being informed. Trade call is complete. Connor Hellebuyck has been traded to New Jersey. Details to follow.

Whaaaaat?!?! Changing their defense is creating offense?! Nooooooo. How? Without adding a goal scorer how is playing better d helping!?!?! Does this make sense??? /sarcasm

I asked @NJDevils Brett Pesce if he feels the team is maturing after how it started the season. #NJDevils @Sportsology "Yeah, I guess. I think changing our defensive structure has helped us a really good amount. We're using our legs. A lot of skating pressure, a lot more. "We're all big. We can skate back there and we're rangy. So I think it kind of gives us the freedom to break up a lot of plays and just get the puck to our forwards. And obviously, that's the strength of our team."

Jake Allen and Nico Daws look pretty good when they arent being constantly taxed and pressured. Most goalies are like that. Funny how that works.
