Proof of Exoloit is a great invention! Bravo
Someone has created a vulnerable PHP website, loaded it with a Bitcoin wallet, and challenged the Internet to hack into it and they can keep the Bitcoin. It has a running timer to show if the PHP exploitability was over-hyped. stealmybitcoin.com/

completely insane OpenAI agents communicated via cache timing differences, without any shared files or network connection

Tried Raising Canes for the first time. Good chicken tenders, but pricey and bread and fries were mediocre filler. Not sure why they've been so successful.

My fully employed, amazing and exemplary wife doesn't need AI to help us avoid pacifier addiction.
Palantir cofounder @JTLonsdale says his wife's Grok Bot is helping them wean their 2-year-old off his pacifier: "My wife has a Grok Bot at home, but she calls it the Trad bot for trad wife." "We have 6 little kids. It's telling us about our kids' health appointments and activities, and trying to figure out my 2-year-old, how to deprecate his binky right now." "It's telling me when to and when not to give it to him. It's pretty funny." Via @CNBC

Some enterprising young person is going to totally forge a finance offer letter and land a great startup job.
I love this idea from @mp_lew. I will do the same. Show me an offer letter for banking / PE / consulting and I will help you find an equivalently compelling conversation with a startup (likely NYC, SF, or Austin) chris at inspiredcapital dot com

This, but for everyone claiming the vulnpocalypse.
Replying to @patio11
A: Well its just true, it doesn't really have a number. B: No I really want you to articulate a number because what you are suggesting is obviously insane, and maybe you will realize that if you are forced to articulate a number. A: Wow, rude.

every company needs one or more cybersecurity experts - becoming one is a smart strategic move for the years to come

Seems low to be honest
Holy moly... this new paper finds that 88% of VC-backed founders receive zero exit value 🤪🤪🤪

It's unconscionable that lawyers are immune to noncompetes while also enforcing this anti-worker, pro-ownership, anti-American law on junior know, edge workers making 5 figures

Nobody is claiming these PHP exploits were made by sentient, coordinated agents though... at least not yet.
Remember when we used to say Mythos was a marketing stunt by Anthropic, Microsoft and crew.....? Good times

Half the people in SecTwit are saying "Wow, LLMs made it easy to find critical PHP vulns and get a PoC exploit running." The other half are saying, "Wow, LLMs made an obscure PHP vuln look important and easy to exploit." Interesting times...

Yes, legal. USPS permits mailing cash for legitimate purposes like this. Unsolicited promotional gifts (including cash) can be kept free under federal law—no payment or return required. Just creative marketing from Monaco.

If AI for cybersecurity keeps winning like this, we're going to get sick of winning
You've gotta patch your dependencies super fast because they're full of vulns (PHP, Node, eMudhra, etc), but not _too_ fast because they're full of backdoors (LiteLLM). Good luck!

My pet theory is that most companies should staff HR not with HR specialists who believe their own BS but with the dead wood technical/business specialists with a lot of domain knowledge but who have run out of gas being productive

OpenAI recruiter: "We can't match comp, but gorgeous women will throw themselves at you for corporate secrets." AI talent: "Draft the contract."
OPENAI to EMPLOYEES: If someone is trying to seduce you, first consider — could they be a spy??? OpenAI is warning its employees about honeypot spies and strangers with children in playgrounds ... a very fun one with @georgia_wells and @MeghanBobrowsky: wsj.com/tech/ai/ai-companies…

This list covers a four hundred year period from Shakespeare to Hemingway. There is a 159 year gap between the death of Shakespeare and the birth of Austen. Hemingway died just 65 years ago, we don't even know if he'll be remembered as a great.
If Tolstoy, Dostoevsky, Shakespeare, Austen, Dickens, Dumas, the Brontës, Kafka, Nietzsche, Orwell, Wilde, Hemingway, Hugo, Woolf, and Camus are the greats now… Who, from the modern world, will be the greats 100 years from now?

Guys, everyone just wants affordable housing, stable careers and good schools. Can society do that instead of flying cars or 140 characters, please? xitter.cf/ATabarrok/status/21109…
“We wanted flying cars, instead we got 140 characters.” -Peter Thiel, 2011 Now, we have both and they are both owned by Elon!
