What a difference a few dry days make.
Here in the Brecklands we have lots of sandy soil overlying chalk which is free draining and therefore ideal for outdoor pigs.

We feed our pigs a diet based on locally grown cereals and protein. It does not contain any growth promoters or antibiotics.
In fact I haven't treated a pig with an antibiotic for over a year.

This is well above average for our Large Black sows and will foster off a few onto a smaller litter to share the workload.

We bring the heavily pregnant sows into the farrowing paddocks a week before their due date do they can settle in and prepare the straw beds to their satisfaction.
