When the University of Dundee teetered, the Scottish Government was able to pin the blame on the management and governance. Whitehall will find it impossible to do the same if and when a university falls over because of the problems in the @ukhomeoffice:
The complacency from the @ukhomeoffice is staggering here. This issue has displaced even financial sustainability as the first thing senior university leaders want to talk about. Something has changed inside the Home Office even if they still deny it.
