Conditions at Valdosta State Prison in Georgia have become so dysfunctional that men held there live in virtual darkness because so many cells are without working lights as the facility has experienced a rash of preventable deaths, @ajc ajc.com/news/2026/10/valdost…

The @ajc found that Georgia officials allowed 350 daycares to keep their star ratings after they were cited for seriously harming children or putting them at risk in the past decade. In some cases, Georgia even awarded them additional stars.

“The AJC’s ‘Risky Medicine’ series has been a valuable resource in shining a light on practices within Georgia’s med spa, wellness, and alternative medicine practice industry that put patients at risk,” the director of Georgia's medical board said. ajc.com/news/2026/07/inspect…

This event is about celebrating America’s unmatched greatness after 250 years — which apparently doesn’t sit well with the friendless loser who wrote this bullshit clickbait headline. Rain or shine, we’re celebrating our great country no matter what. GOD BLESS AMERICA! 🇺🇸

What's so good about @ShawnMcCreesh story is it would have been easy just to make fun of Bryon Noem. Instead, he writes a compassionate (and well-reported) story about the humiliation he's going through. Should teach this one in journalism school. nytimes.com/2026/03/31/us/po…

Let me just add though it doesn’t need saying…the free press in this country will continue to cover every military casualty and explain as best it can how it happened. It’s not about you @PeteHegseth or Trump. It actually IS about what makes America great: sacrifice and honor. So perhaps get a grip bud.
In today's press conference, @PeteHegseth said: "When a few drones get through or tragic things happen, it's front page news. I get it. The press only wants to make the president look bad, but try for once to report the reality the terms of this war will be set by us at every step." A fact check: The press -- particularly the legacy Pentagon press corps -- has a long history of covering U.S. military casualties. Under Bush. Under Obama. Under Biden. And yes, under Trump. Those efforts haven't always been perfect. But they've highlighted sacrifices by American service members and their families, and shortcomings that sometimes allowed those deaths to happen. We'll continue to do so. It's too important to stop.
