About every other month @CicLAvia shuts down the streets of LA to cars and fully opens them to people. We were able to bike the entire route today and I’m in awe of all the work that went into this FREE event. Here are things that stood out to me:

.@AldReilly says Canal will become NB-only between Lake St. and Kinzie PBLs, with no SB option for bike riders. We're curious, do you currently make any SB bike trips on this stretch of Canal, or do you use the 2-way PBL on Clinton, a 1/2 block west, instead? H/T @stevevance.

Is wearing a helmet a legal requirement in Michigan? Because it is legally required that drivers yield at crosswalks, obey the speed limit, give at least 3 ft to pass a cyclist, come to a complete stop at stop signs, and not drive while distracted.

Another example of @NBCUniversal violating its permits by blocking both sides of this street’s bike lanes. @ChicagoDOT why do you continue issuing permits without inspecting? Nbc universal has been allowed to endanger bicyclists for years. A bicyclist died at THIS intersection.
