The Jaguars were 4-13 in 2024. A mess. My crappy #Jets beat them. They hired Liam Coen, a 1st time HC after 1 season in TB. People mocked him for his press conference. Guess what? They are 19-6 since and one of the best teams in the league. 1st time HC. Offensive genius.

Not calling plays isn’t a red-flag. It’s only a piece of the responsibility. Game-planning & design is what matters the most. Whoever calls the plays is calling the same stuff that was game planned, sequencing is important but you get a feel for that being around great coaches

Here is Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell talking about Jaguars offensive coordinator Grant Udinski and why he's one of the best coaches he's ever worked with.

Smart. Tactical. Strategic. Attention to detail. That’s what I want to hear being said about a HC.

Grant Udinski will be a superstar HC for a team very soon. Its clear he understands the game in a way that commands respect from players, and teams will covet that

But he doesn't call plays....lol. #Jets, go get Grant Udinski. The guy who Darnold praised, KOC hasn't been able to replace and Trevor Lawrence says is a big part of why he is playing the way he is.

Jets have had six players with 100+ receiving/rushing yard games so far this season - Garrett Wilson - AD Mitchell - Omar Cooper Jr. - Kenyon Sadiq - Braelon Allen - Breece Hall More than any team in the NFL...

I think the reason I’m so heavy on the “trade Breece Hall” thing, taking social media antics out of the equation, is the fact that him and Braelon Allen simply aren’t a good fit together. On paper and just looking at the two guys, you’d think they complement eachother well given Breece is more of that finesse pass catching back while Braelon would be your North-South run it through your mouth guy, but I’m just not sure that’s the case. It feels like Braelon is a true bell cow guy that requires the majority of the touches to really get going. Sure he can run between the tackles, but when he gets to the outside he’s so big and strong is difficult to take the guy down. Add in the fact that he’s clearly improved as a pass catcher, is 3 years younger and a fraction of the price? Feels like they should role with Allen, trade Breece for capital to help them move up and down the board in an extremely important draft (would take 2028 capital btw), and look to add a compliment to Braelon Allen in 2027. Allen shouldn’t be Breece Halls compliment anymore.

Bro this team is already has extremely good skill players and a great O-Line this is genuinely a dynasty in the making 😭
The New York Jets currently would hold the 5th, 6th and 10th overall selections in the April 2027 NFL draft. No team in the common draft era ever has had three top 10 picks in the same draft.

𝗥𝗨𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗦: Teams that miss out on Jonathan Taylor could attempt to pivot to Breece Hall, according to @RapSheet Aaron Glenn has said the team doesn’t want to trade him, but with the right offer, plus the emergence of Braelon Allen… the right offer could make them think.

No worries. Now we need you on the "Mestemaker to the Jets with those weapons could be franchise changing" train....just need an offensive minded HC to develop him. Udinski would do...

Man if I’m the Jets there is NO WAY, I’m trading Garrett Wilson. This nucleus of young talent they have is outstanding. Wilson, Mitchell, Cooper Jr, Taylor, Sadiq, Braelon. I’m keeping all of them.
AD Mitchell I still believe

Projected Top-10 NFL Draft order, via @Tankathon: 1. Chargers 2. Titans 3. Dolphins 4. Jets (via IND) 5. Eagles 6. Jets 7. Texans 8. Saints 9. Commanders 10. Jets (via DAL) Jets would be first team in modern common draft era with three top-10 picks in same draft.

AD and Garrett had solid days but Omar Cooper was open all afternoon. This WR group could be lethal with a creative playcaller 🛬

Updated after Week 8's Sunday games: The Jets now are the league's biggest underperformers in terms of Wins vs. Team PFF grade (an accumulation of individual grades of all players, i.e., a decent evaluator of team talent) No team's whole is further below the sum of their parts
Team PFF grades are a decent quantifier of team "talent" since it's an accumulation of individual grades, not a measure of team-wide efficiency Jets are 16th in team PFF grade but have the 5th-worst win%, giving them -1.69 wins above expected as predicted by PFF grade. Coaching
