Amazingly, today marks 7 years since I first uploaded on the Rocket Jump Ninja channel... I went from player to reviewer to mouse designer. And now the @Xtrfy MZ1 is wireless! Thanks for all the support, here's a video to celebrate the anniversary! youtu.be/nuF2CoPBbxY

As someone doing a lot more mouse designing than reviewing these days, I wanted to check out the @finalmouse Starlight X and see what they got right and wrong (imo). Either way, great to see a new shape from them! Made a video with my shape analysis: youtu.be/joMLGKX0hv0

When I was 10, my dream was to have a Street Fighter II: Champion Edition arcade in my room. Couldn't afford consoles so I used to just go to the arcades and hope I found tokens on the ground so I could play. Now I own it on multiple platforms because that dream is burned deep.
The hype for Street Fighter II on the Super Nintendo/Super Famicom in 1992 was unlike anything the gaming industry had seen before. The "impossible" port: before July 1992, playing a major arcade hit at home usually meant a compromised, stripped-down home port. When Street Fighter II: The World Warrior was announced for the SNES, the idea that an arcade game of that scope could run at home felt like witchcraft. Magazines like EGM built massive anticipation with cover features and deep dives into the 16-megabit cartridge, the largest and most powerful SNES cartridge of its time. Costing US$79.99 at launch (roughly US$175 adjusted for inflation), but millions of players didn't hesitate to pay for it. In fact, it sold over 6.3 million copies on the SNES, becoming Capcom's best-selling single software title for decades and a massive system-seller that convinced many people on my surroundings to buy a Super Nintendo. Sega had no answer to that until September 1993, which was too late for many.

The "local arcade" for me was at a theme park, my parents would buy me a yearly pass and I'd just go there to play Street Fighter every weekend. Didn't care for the rides, just wanted to game. Wild to think I now have a career in gaming... so fortunate to turn passion into work.

And then when I was 16 I got into Quake and suddenly no other game existed. Became a "grapple monkey" in Quake 2 CTF, then a "rocket jump ninja" in Quake 3 and you know the rest hah Anyway, why did I load Twitter, I'm meant to be editing a mouse review. Stay tuned!

Elite Not selling anything, not hyping. Just want you to have that word in your head, because if you're focusing on improving yourself, you're in that category. Every loss and mistake helps you get closer to the goal. Keep it going.

Deleted that tweet about recoil because wayyyyy too many people are misunderstanding it. I'll show it in a video instead. It'd be fine if people just disagreed, but they actually don't even understand what I'm saying about it. We'll call it the limitation of text.

"Call of Duty Reveals $8.5 Billion Video Game Cheating Economy" "The company detailed how cheat subscriptions alone rake in $3.5 billion yearly across 15 games" Me to those gamers after reading that:

On today's episode of corps figuring out ways to milk their fans as much as possible... The current state of gaming makes me so sad. People who experienced 1998-2008 will know what I mean. Could we ever get back to that?
Apex Legends x Street Fighter 6 event reportedly costs 29,000 AC Around $259 total.

As said in a previous tweet... imagine having an ego when you're using a controller in Apex. I mean, imagine having an ego with gaming in general, but the amount of aim assist abusers talking it up is pretty crazy. Nothing more than developer-approved cheats.
"With aim assist enabled, most of the neurons were unnecessary" This is exactly why aim assist is an issue. You can offload the mental bandwidth needed for tracking and put it towards other aspects of the game, while also reducing human error and increasing gameplay consistency regardless of external factors like poor sleep

Imagine a day when gamers are in charge of the gaming industry again... As much as people hate on AI, I actually hope it helps the development process enough to give that power back to real gamers/devs again, who will base decisions on the love rather than the money.
猬涳笍 Due to current market conditions, we鈥檝e decided to pivot Darkenstein 3D into a AAA experience. 馃煢 Expect a 10x price increase in the coming trimester, revenue going to my 65 managers. 馃煛 Welcome to Wolverinstein 3D.

It's crazy that Apex Legends somehow convinced people to pay to lose by getting heirlooms. The extra animations can delay weapon pick up and mess with your vision. The extra sounds can potentially overload the sound engine or hide other sounds you need. As a Quake player, what.

I say this as someone who just got lucky with another set of shards from a pack. Just opening the ones with the battlepass. Got the Twin Razors and even they have a bad landing animation. Apex takes control of our screen way too much. Let us aim/look where and how we want.

It was such a struggle to learn everything in Apex Legends, especially while trying to win. High pressure = harder. But then the community says they're bored or something and the devs decide to make it more complicated. Good for experienced players, terrible for new players, no?

Was just watching a video explaining all the changes for the new season and it reminded me of how frustrating it was learning and dying so many times because I didn't know some stupid rule in the game. Seems over complicated and now more so for the sake of keeping fresh.

There are advantages to egg shaped gaming mice... especially if they suit your grip. Can we start talking about them again? Maybe we can inspire some companies to make some more like the @Fantech_World Aria II New vid about why... youtu.be/UaV5li-eGAs

"Why did you call your channel Rocket Jump Ninja?" asked no one. But here's the answer anyway: Kind of joking, kind of serious...

According to what I'm seeing on here, the world is a mess and no longer safe for anyone. Best to just stay inside and game. (The above is probably not true, but just pretend it is because the end advice is still good ... as long as you still eat well, exercise and get some sun)

Any game devs using AI to test concepts out? As in, is AI good enough yet to make something basic to see if the ideas are worth exploring further before proper development? I don't have time to develop games but I have an idea that could be cool... need AI to make a pre-alpha.

Trying to set a foundation of body measurements to help with choosing a gaming chair. And a lot of the comments are just "Buy an office chair", which doesn't really help. The measurements apply to office chairs too, so can we get a real discussion going? youtu.be/xdXa262RXVk

I gotta wonder... is he going to be playing his best with the pad potentially distorted from not being flat on the desk and his posture leaned so far forward? Or could he be even better with certain things corrected? Can't argue with results... or maybe we can? 馃
