I am asking the questions that for some, is the uncomfortable dialogue they don't want to have.
Tell me what I don't know.....don't ask me to believe lies.

Joe Barnard talking about how to land a rocket at the Liquid Propulsion Symposium.
I had a fantastic time at the #2025LPS, which featured an impressive lineup of content.
A highlight was when @joebarnard unexpectedly showed a clip of Xaero-A, a vehicle I built and tested, making the experience both nostalgic and rewarding. We would remove the landing gear...

We had 34 university teams and 23 companies represented at the 馃敟 Liquid Propulsion Symposium. So many great speakers, project displays, and demonstrations. Thank you to all that attended 馃檹馃徎

New Glenn safely reached its intended orbit during today's NG-1 mission, accomplishing our primary objective. The second stage is in its final orbit following two successful burns of the BE-3U engines. The Blue Ring Pathfinder is receiving data and performing well.
We lost the booster during descent. We knew landing the first stage on the first try was ambitious. We'll learn, refine, and apply that knowledge to our next launch in the spring. We're thrilled with today's outcome. More: bit.ly/4hj8q0o
Unpacked some of my bookshelf props. These were obsolete, due to modern applications and tools, when I picked them up 20 years ago.
Still, something tangible about them though when you flip through the pages.
You can almost feel the hard fought knowledge they contain.

Wow... this is like the great Space Access conferences that Henry Vanderbilt organized in Phoenix in the 90s and 00s.

2024: A Year to Remember for Intuitive Machines 馃殌
This year, we reached for the stars鈥攁nd landed聽on the Moon!聽馃寬
In February, we made history, returning the United States to the Moon for the first time since 1972.
But 2024 wasn鈥檛 just about the landing. It was about laying the foundation to provide lunar services that unlock the lunar economy.
Highlights include:
猸愶笍 Winning $4.82 billion max value NASA Near Space Network contracts to establish communication and navigation services for missions in the near space region,
猸愶笍聽Building on our leadership role in the Artemis campaign by earning a fourth contract under NASA鈥檚 Commercial Lunar Payload Services initiative, to deliver payloads to the Moon, and
猸愶笍聽Securing a prime contractor position under NASA鈥檚 Lunar Terrain Vehicle Services contract and taking the Moon RACER LTV from concept to reality in just four months. We capped off an epic year by completing the LTV鈥檚 first round of human-in-the-loop testing just weeks ago.
As we prepare for the IM-2 Mission聽in 2025, we鈥檙e proud to be at the forefront of humanity鈥檚 return to the Moon, shaping the future of lunar mobility, sustainability, and exploration鈥攐n the Moon and beyond.
馃尃聽Here鈥檚 to dreaming big! Thank you for being part of our journey. Together, we鈥檒l make 2025 even more extraordinary!

Yaw/pitch/roll control worked great! At low speed and low air pressure we get a little oscillation, starting on the roll axis and progressing to pitch/yaw. A little more detail in the modeling should fix that. Cross range at apogee was about 230m from the launch point with lateral velocity less than 2m/s! HUGE win for my goal with pitch/yaw control: reducing recovery dispersion.
The rocket is in awesome shape, I think it should fly again! Maybe as a second stage to a much higher altitude so we can nail down attitude control in the upper atmosphere.
