Well, that’s all for the Rockies in 2026. The yr was an improvement over last, but the past two months were reminiscent of 2025. Thank you all for following along. Will be doing a giveaway this offseason so stay tuned. Looking forward to dive into offseason needs etc.

This is truly remarkable, considering that if Jordan Beck had played an entire season, he would have been on pace to strikeout 146 times.
I truly feel bad for Sugano that inning. Besides the homer to Murakami, Troy Johnston loses a sky ball, Hunter Goodman makes a throwing error (which Amador probably should’ve got in front of) & a sac-fly to short center that McCarthy bobbles on the throw in.
Gotta give the Rockies props for not rolling over down 10-0 in the first four innings. Rox broadcast crew is too kind regarding Fulford + Beck ABs in the ninth. I wish they would express their genuine feelings instead of being overly polite sometimes. Just bad stuff.
Congratulations, Zac! Your reward? Playing every third day, preventing you from developing a rhythm while platooning with Jordan Beck. While jokes aside, the strikeout rate remains a significant concern.

Love me some Kyle Freeland, but these starts are becoming increasingly difficult to watch. Unfortunately, the same thing can be said for the entire starting rotation.

The Rockies announced today the following transactions:
- Reinstated LHP Jose Quintana from the 60-day IL.
- Optioned RHP Gabriel Hughes to Triple-A Albuquerque.
- Designated INF Vimael Machín for assignment.
Quintana will make his 10th start of the season tonight against the Seattle Mariners.
Boy has Mickey Moniak mailed it in since signing his 2-year extension. He’s got to be hitting around .180 since August 4th.
So jacked that Cole Carrigg is a Rockie. Despite the team’s 95 losses, you wouldn’t guess it from his emotions. He’s a gamer.
He doesn’t know ball @BDSpenc. Dudes like that believe they understand what’s going on because they’re *media* & don’t watch. Click bait station. Rockies have been much better this yr vs. last, & more fun to watch. Desperately need pitching help (plz!), but things are looking up!
His downfall is his aggressive approach to the plate, which results in a high strikeout rate. Limited playing time hasn’t helped. Last night, it was evident against Schlittler, who struck him out twice. Still kind of unknown at this point.
Super encouraging stuff from the Rockies No. 3 prospect. It remains uncertain whether they will consider him for a look this September. This is a difficult decision, especially considering the impending lockout.
I’ve been thoroughly impressed with Adael Amador and his to return to the Rockies at this point. This season was likely* the final audition with the team (especially with the new FO), and he’s making the most of it. Awesome to see.

The Rockies announced today that they have claimed LHP Hayden Harris off waivers from the Atlanta Braves. Harris will report to Triple-A Albuquerque.
The Rockies now have a full 40-man roster.

Been preaching that for a month now. I’m sure it’s a confidence drainer for Veen, especially after two great at-bats tonight. You can argue that playing the splits is the right move, but it’s a lost season & you need to see what you have. Dumfounding stuff from WS.
