Thank you to AZUCA & NUCA for a well-run event, Achen Gardner & Hunter Contracting for their site prep and backfill, @empirecat for the equipment, and to everyone who stopped by our booth. And of course to our own Jupiter Bahena and Adrian Sanchez for running the demo all day.

One question came up more than once: does this replace 811? It doesn’t. Calling 811 is always step one. The LDR adds a layer of real-time awareness at the bucket, for the moments when marks are off, records are outdated, or a line was never on the map.

We brought the Live Dig Radar® (LDR) system to Phoenix for a live demo. Seeing the reaction in person was the highlight. Attendees had sharp questions, wanted to understand how real-time detection fits into their dig process, and several got hands-on and tried it themselves.

Great day in Phoenix with NUCA of Arizona (AZUCA)! Last week, our team joined the AZUCA Trench Safety & Damage Prevention event as a sponsor. 150 excavation and utility professionals from around 30 companies came out to talk about keeping crews and buried infrastructure safe.

Yet we judge prevention against the repair invoice and fund almost nothing for the moment the bucket enters the ground. What changes if we measured it against $83.2B? #ZeroStrikes is possible with RODRADAR Live Dig Radar®.

@CGAConnect counts the full cost at $83.2B a year. Direct repairs are 5.9%. The rest is closed roads, evacuations, lost business, emergency response and injuries. It comes back to us as premiums, delays, fines and higher utility rates.

Fixing the pipe is ~6% of what a utility strike costs. Friday in Hollywood, FL, an excavator hit an 18" gas main by the Turnpike. Highway shut for hours, homes evacuated. Great reporting by @CBSMiami's @BriBuckleyTV . That's the other 94%: $83.2B a year.

Calling 811 is the essential first step. But paint marks on the surface can’t show the operator what’s happening at the bucket. Real-time detection as provided by Live Dig Radar®, right in the excavator cab, closes that gap and keeps the ball in your hands.

Utah’s most expensive turnover isn’t on an NBA court. It’s underground, and it costs $93.1M a year. That’s nearly the original $93M price tag of the Delta Center, home of the Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth. utahbusiness.com/press-relea…

During Network Plus rollout of RodRadar’s 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐠 𝐑𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐫® with MACHINETECH, we grabbed James, one of their working crews’ operator, for a few sec to hear what he thinks of the LDR utility strike avoidance system. No script. His own words. We just added the captions.

27.6% of utility strikes happen after the crew called 811. Calling 811 before you dig is an important step in preventing utility damage, but it was never designed to eliminate strikes on its own. That's the gap Live Dig Radar® was built to close. rodradar.com/what-811-actual…

If only the construction crew had Live Dig Radar system this utility strike could have been avoided. We can help.
