How does Pol II machinery change as transcription proceeds from the initiating base, through promoter-proximal pause, and into productive elongation?
We tackled this question by developing a technique, PRO-IP-seq, that: 🧵

I used to be proud of @Cornell's COVID-19 response, but the Fall '22 guidelines are truly disappointing. We have world class scientists but fail to protect our students, faculty and staff with science-based public health measures.
The centrifuge read 666 on the display when I turned it on and the foreboding energy is palpable. Let's hope my cells embrace the darkness
So happy to help lead the effort to share the science behind the COVID19 vaccines by phone banking in our local communities with low vaccination rates. Thanks for sharing our enthusiasm @CornellNews!
Changing minds: Vaccination Conversations with Scientists, a group of more than 100 @Cornell scientist volunteers educating the public about #COVID19 #vaccines, is reporting success in shifting unvaccinated people’s beliefs. news.cornell.edu/stories/202…
