RtP was originally started to record my campaign to have @policescotland introduce active suicide intervention training for all custody staff. Now all police officers and staff are trained as to what to do when a person is found trying to take their own life in police cells.
The rioting in France shows that every government & judiciary clamps down severely on rioters & those who incite riots.
Rioting has spread beyond France, but not to the UK because people here remember the reaction to the 2024 riots, with severe & swift penalties.

"The UK has fallen because two years ago someone who had probably never handled a gun before was photographed holding an empty gun the wrong way"
Is such a lame outrage chasing pile of tepid nonsense, you'd think the world had run out of things to be upset about.
This photo reminds me of the time a Chief Constable was photographed with his fly down.
When I did media training we were warned to check before being photoed to make sure nothing embarrassing or controversial was in shot.
This photo is a perfect encapsulation of everything wrong with modern policing standards.
A woman who cannot even grasp the single most basic rule of firearm safety, keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot, is being publicly celebrated and armed by the Metropolitan Police.
Her index finger is squarely on the trigger of a rifle while she smiles for a promotional photo under a banner that reads “Women in Firearms Attachment.”
This is not a minor slip. It is the kind of catastrophic negligence that gets people killed. And the fact that a sergeant is standing right next to her, grinning, while this happens tells you everything about the quality of instruction and supervision in that unit.
@metpoliceuk if this is the standard your firearms officers are held to, you have no business putting anyone in possession of a weapon.
Retrain your instructors, or better yet, stop pretending this is competence.
#firearms #incompetence #safety
This is why police management never learn or change. They are allowed to make horrific mistakes with no consequences.

When rioters faced severe & fast punishments in the UK after the 2024 riots, many expressed surprise & claimed two tier justice.
Now watch what the French are doing & you will see it is the same. There is no 2 tier justice, every government reacts severely & swiftly to riots.
The Scottish Police Authority used to publish the number of Police Scotland officers suspended for rape accusations;
2013 - 2
2014 - 4
2015 - 6
2016 - 5
Then they stopped publishing. I wonder if any of those officers were convicted?

In 2007 the SNP demanded an extra 1000 police officers were to be recruited. To meet that target standards were dropped. Other rapist police officers were recruited at that time. I wonder if this is another?

Two tier policing now means either agreeing or disagreeing with a decision made by the police.
Seeing the aggressively two tier approach by our police has pushed me from a position of near total support for our police- as far back as I can remember- to near total lack of confidence today.
It is almost farcical how politicised the police have become, to the extent that they are visibly on the side of some of the worst elements of society.
The next government will obviously need to demonstrate how it will get on top of crime and bring peace back to our streets. But it will also need to radically and completely reform the institution of policing itself.
Police Scotland repeatedly failing to treat staff decently, spend millions fighting employment claims & mostly loosing.
When I told my now local authority employer about what Police Scotland do, an HR manager said much of it sounded illegal. That is because it is.

I think the ongoing debate over the Lucy Letby convictions has exposed the difference between academic & legal investigations.
Scientists & lawyers approach evidencing in different ways & with a different purpose.
Thanks to the lawyers who've pointed out that in law, solid proof isn't needed & you can be locked up for unproven bollocks. I didn't think the legal establishment could embarrass itself more than the post office scandal, but Letby may yet surpass this for idiocy @ccrcupdate
1 - I think trials should be a considered assessment of the evidence. Instead, they are a debate between lawyers who use tactics to win.
Here are the tactics used by @PoliceScotland & @COPFS to try & convict me of assault when I prevented a suicide.
7 - If Police Scotland had conducted a fair enquiry, I think it would have been unlikely that COPFS would have prosecuted. Instead, COPFS lawyers were complicit in trying to stitch me up for something that was obviously not a crime.
The following people are showing a distinct lack of understanding about evidencing and investigation and are click rage baiters.
