These College Republicans are doing a great job convincing me to NOT vote Republican. I suppose, there's a first for everything

#Packers lose to the NFL/Lions partnership 20-17. Garbage game. Refs literally took that game over. A total embarrassment for the league and fans should take notice. This league should not be trusted anymore. Too much of this across the whole league. Far past this game.
The @NFL has to buzz in with a calm clear view of what happened. – at Waupun, WI

They need to buzz in and fix this shit from New York.

Mark my words, the Gen Z vote in this midterm election will be the bellwether for whether or not Republicans win in Wisconsin.
In 2024, in Wisconsin, Donald Trump won Gen Z voters aged 18-24 year with 50% to Harris’ 48%.
For Gen Z voters aged 18-29 in Wisconsin, Trump lost narrowly with 48% to Harris’ 49%.
That was just two years ago.
Gen Z is the largest swing voting block. A 2025 Gallup poll found that 56% of Gen Z voters identify with neither party. Millennials come in a close second.
It’s unwise, and potentially catastrophic, to ignore issues that are most important for young voters. The GOP cannot win without Gen Z voters because they will just choose not to vote at all if Republican legislation, and messaging, is ignoring key issues or even exacerbating harmful policies.
I can say this with confidence because I have many young friends that voted for Trump in 2024, in Wisconsin, who are now choosing to sit this election out entirely.

That’s right, I wouldn’t vote for Mike Alfonso on principle because his campaign stands for everything conservatives say they abhor - the swampy money trail, the DC decadence by elites raking it in, the name calling and childish behavior, and the complete lack of merit and achievement.
And this brand of politics may cost Republicans and conservatives everything in this state in a couple short weeks, and I’m furious about that. I hope it doesn’t. Tiffany, Toney and DVO may win. But they are fighting against enormous headwinds caused by this kind of BS out of Washington. And I’m a person who believes Trump’s policies have been more successful than he is getting credit for. But he’s not selling them well, and the grifting and name calling are wearing thin with a lot of voters, not to mention Iran and gas.
I would leave that race blank - if I lived in the district, which I do not. I also stated that I would NEVER vote for Fred Clark because his policies and ideology are too liberal for me and would be very bad for this country.
This conversation ignited because a woman who is a very good long-time conservative announced that she is voting for Clark over the same concerns and people went and called her names. I then stated I wouldn’t vote for Clark ever and might vote for Alfonso. Then, I saw various Turning Point guys and the convicted batterer from Oconto County on that thread calling people names. The TP guy Dixon Wolfe, rather than simply making the case for Alfonso, whom he supports, chose to trash Kevin Hermening and Michael Mikalsen as elitist boomers and called Kevin a sore loser and decided to arrogantly lecture him. He has not earned the right to pompously lecture Kevin Hermening, who has worked in GOP grassroots politics for 40 years, was a hostage in Iran and served his country as a Marine. Get real.
And then I said enough. If I lived in that district, I’d be done with this kind of crap and I would not enable it with my vote.
Why wouldn’t I vote for Alfonso?
-The disgusting swamp around him - the federal lobbyist money funding his campaign tied to the industries his dad regulates. It disgusts me almost as much as the Guilfoyle accusations. The money trail through the shadowy pac based in Alabama. Look into the backgrounds of the people who put money into that. I did but never wrote the story because I got sick of the entire thing. It’s disgusting. It’s the literal swamp.
-The lack of any real accomplishments. Pure nepotism, not merit. It’s a joke. The shifting explanations about work background. He is a part-time church accountant who was a podcast producer. There is zero chance we’d be talking about him if his father-in-law wasn’t a cabinet secretary who convinced Trump to endorse him.
-the fact he’s going to win by a lot anyway. I might change my mind if I thought Fred Clark had a chance of winning. Alfonso will win by a large margin.
-The disgusting juvenile name calling and behavior from the people supporting him, like you, Brady and Ken. I actually had written before that I would consider voting for Alfonso if I lived there until I saw the insults being directed at Kevin and Mike.
-the out of touch decadence of the Duffys personified by Rachel swanning around in a ball gown for a look at me video at the state dinner while people are struggling back home and the poor messaging out of Washington may cost Wisconsin conservatives literally everything.
I’ve previously said that I like some things about Alfonso - he’s personally nice, his wife is brilliant and I think she’s great, he champions fatherhood and marriage.
You guys really need to grow up. I feel sorry for you, Brady, Dixon, etc. You have been taught by society that this is how you are supposed to act to be a man. It’s not. You could learn a thing or two about how Kevin Hermening carries himself in public.
This isn’t the “get” you think it is, Nick. Everything I outlined used to be a conservative principle.
Also, I’m not a neocon.

Aaron Rodgers sat at that podium in Paris and said out loud what the corporate league office spends millions trying to sanitize.
The NFL talks endlessly about “player safety” and “expanding the global game.” But behind closed doors, owners scrapped player-friendly bye weeks, forced a brutal 17th regular-season game, and shipped franchises across oceans simply because there was another dollar to squeeze out of foreign TV markets.
While families and players navigate locked-down streets, civil tension, and grueling travel schedules, ownership sits in five-star suites counting international expansion checks.
Rodgers doesn't care about league fines anymore. He’s telling you the truth: in the modern NFL, the brand and the balance sheet come first. The humans on the field come second.
