“Because we have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” John Adams (Letter to the Officers of the First Brigade of the Third Division of the Militia of Massachusetts, October 11, 1798).
A nation built on our foundation cannot endure apart from the full and complete acknowledgment of our great dependency on Almighty God. My call to the United States is that we "Renew America's Founding Covenant with God" that we may be blessed as a nation whose God is the Lord.
A home is more than a building. It is where a family puts down roots, where children learn faith and work, and where our citizens gain a stake in the nation's future. A country that makes it hard to build homes makes it hard to build families.

I brought a leader in rural healthcare transformation to state leaders that would have put pediatric clinics, urgent cares, and behavioral health facilities in the 22 counties (out of 55) that do not have a single pediatrician for West Virginia babies and children.
They applied for $4 million that would have opened the first five clinics and done remote patient monitoring in the other counties. $15 million would have put 15 clinics - one in each of the counties with ZERO presence.
Not interested (except for a few legislators). And not a penny of Rural Health Transformation money. The proposals are not structured in a way that actually meets real needs and addresses the problems specific to West Virginia!
And that’s how millions of dollars get spent on bandaid programs with no actual improvement, much less transformation.
Want to stop losing population and attract business and families? Businesses can’t go where employees won’t move. Basic human services have to be available, and you’ve got just under 50% of the state without a pediatrician.
West Virginia lawmaker raises concerns over a small nonprofit receiving more than $1 million in Rural Health Transformation money that doesn’t have experience doing employer health care programs

Quite literally why many are homeschooling in the first place (have you seen the illiterate product many public schools produce these days?!
31.4% of GRADUATES nationwide and 65% in WV deemed functionally illiterate to be exact!). I welcome a conversation about educational metrics but have some shred of intellectual integrity if you’re going to engage.
And yes, meeting the educational needs of our citizenry as determined by PARENTS, not government, is not only a substitute, but a leading indicator.
End user satisfaction is a leading indicator in most all public and private programs and services.
Yes, Dario. That’s where all innovation comes from. Governments contract, fund, regulate, and/or acquire needed technologies when they reach a certain point, but innovation comes from the private sector.
Lame logic to get reimbursed for drunken market spending.
Warning? That’s like saying “Warning: McDonalds doesn’t serve Taco Bell food.” That’s not exactly a newsflash.
Besides the fact that this group is comprised of WV public school administrators (unbiased and objective, just ignorant of capitalism, no doubt), they accurately reveal the real rub - that they aren’t the final arbiters of education in the state or nation. They, like many public services, are a last resort, not a first choice. Their mandate is not to compete against the private sector or try to retain students.
Education isn’t supposed to be a job program; it is about providing educational opportunities for all West Virginia’s youth. This is literally like SNAP running ads and billboards trying to recruit more “customers.”
WE WANT LESS GOVERNMENT NOT MORE.
Government needing to educate less and less students is a GREAT thing because it means the private sector is meeting more of the needs of citizens. Public assistance should be a last resort, not the first.
A great attribute of our free enterprise system is that anyone (including any public school administrator) can become an entrepreneur to start a special needs school. And because we live in a FREE country, you can choose if that is a autism-specific school, a Down syndrome-specific school, a Baptist school, an atheist school, or any other niche you want to serve. That is what entrepreneurs do in every other industry. To insinuate that one restaurant is bad or wrong because it serves one type of food over another, or the intimates store doesn’t sell overalls, concerns me even more about who is educating our children. Because if they don’t understand the basic principles of freedom and free enterprise our nation is built on, we have bigger problems.
Thank you for exposing the general misunderstanding of role and scope public education plays in our nation.
New: Facing a school closure, 11 Mingo County parents file lawsuit to block universal expansion of Hope Scholarship.
In a rural area, “plaintiffs’ children cannot, as a practical matter, use a Hope Scholarship as a substitute for their public school.”

And this is what freedom, leadership, and statesmanship looks like, boys and girls.Â

Concerned about the Islamification of America?
Christian churches outnumber all others better than 200-to-1. If America is overtaken, it won’t be because new mosques were built or politicians didn’t legislate accordingly, but because the churches of America lost their Holy Spirit power, and thus influence, on society and culture.
This is one of the many reasons I am not in favor of shorter work weeks. It sounds good in theory, but it continues the physical, mental, and emotional erosion that is deepening depression, anxiety, and a variety of societal ills. Humans are not designed for that much recreation. We are purpose-driven creations that are happiest and most fulfilled when actively in pursuit of our God-given purpose.
When people work 6 days a week, divorce goes down, spending goes down, investments go up because you are too tired from working all week to fight with your spouse and you’re not spending money entertaining yourself when you’re busy working.
Work may be a four-letter word, but it is not a dirty word.

Purpose, fulfillment, and dignity are found in work. And that translates into every area of life, health, and relationships. “Six days shalt thou labor” has a lot wisdom in it. Happy to support HUD Secretary Turner’s Work and Dignity Coalition initiative.
The pot in this country is out of control. You can’t drive down the road, stop at a light, or go to a grocery store without being smacked in the face by its abhorrent smell. Stinks like a polecat.
If the smell cannot be contained, I’m for banning it on those grounds alone. It’s a bio-invasion into our homes, cars, and backyards.
Say goodbye to the BBQs, kiddie birthday parties, summer afternoons at the pool, and evenings on the front porch.
You cannot out-legislate the depravity of man.
We cannot expect exemplary families and children while acting like the Creator did not establish the nuclear family unit as the foundation of civil society and the first government.
When the family breaks down, ALL of society breaks down.
You want to help the kids of America? Strengthen traditional families. Promote traditional family values. Normalize normal again.
*The strength of the family IS the strength of the nation.
The opposite is also true.
A testament to the power of lobbying. Lobbyists, by definition, have an agenda that is SOLELY for the benefit of a particular industry or company. I’ve never heard ONE conversation from a lobbyist discussing purely what was in the best interest of the United States or the American people.
They primarily exist to influence legislation for ONE purpose - cornering markets and weakening/eliminating the competition. I don’t blame them; that’s literally our system, but it is frustrating, and situations like below are flat out wrong.
Bearing false witness against another is literally one of the 10 commandments. America has a character problem, and this is just a sample representation.
Do legacy media outlets typically use headlines involving the make of a car in a crash or is that only for Tesla?
It would be one thing if the self-driving malfunctioned but the crash was purely human-induced.
Seems like these outlets want to associate Tesla with crashes as part of a narrative and overall political agenda.
We the people accept your resignation as members of the press.
Credible press covers the actions and national addresses of our nation’s highest office. Zero journalistic integrity. Absolutely shameful.
Or maybe it’s because he understood there are no gay rights, trans rights, or racial rights, only HUMAN RIGHTS!
Lindsey Graham was gay. And he spent years trying to make sure people didn't know it by backing laws that stripped gay rights.
I've covered him for years. I remember when he seemed reasonable. But somewhere along the way, that changed.
A senator entrusted with helping shape America's future became one of Washington's most relentless advocates for war and death.
In the end, that may be the legacy that defines him.
The ant works hard in the stifling heat all summer long, building his house and gathering supplies for the winter. The grasshopper thinks he's a fool, laughing, dancing, and playing the summer away.
Come winter, the ant is warm and well-fed. The grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he dies out in the cold.
The shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be fed well while others are starving.
CNN, MSNOW, and ABC show up to provide pictures of the shivering grasshopper next to a video of the ant in his comfortable home.
Kermit the Frog appears on Good Morning America with the grasshopper, and everybody cries when he sings, "It's not easy being green."
AOC, Mamdani, and Bernie Sanders made special guest appearances on the CBS Evening News to tell a concerned panel that they would do everything they could for the grasshopper who has been denied the prosperity he deserves by those who benefited unfairly during the TRUMP summers.
Hillary Clinton gets her old law firm to represent the grasshopper in a detamation suit against the ant. The case is tried before a panel of federal hearing officers that Obama appointed from a list of single-parent welfare moms.
The ant loses the case. The story ends as we see the grasshopper finishing up the last bits of the ant's food in his government house, which just happens to be the ant's old house. The ant has disappeared in the snow.
And on the TV, which the grasshopper bought by selling most of the ant's food, they are showing Mamdani, Josh Shapiro, and Andy Beshear standing before a wildly applauding group of Democrats, announcing that a new era of "fairness" has dawned in America.
NOTICE: THIS IS NOT ABOUT ANTS OR GRASSHOPPERS.
