AUTOPISTA MÉXICO‑TOLUCA.— Un vehículo blindado Senator MRAP, fabricado por la empresa canadiense Roshel, fue captado avanzando sobre la autopista, custodiado por unidades de Fuerzas Especiales de la Secretaría de Seguridad Ciudadana del Estado de México, en un despliegue poco común para vialidades federales.
El Senator MRAP —un transporte táctico basado en chasis Ford F‑550, diseñado para resistir emboscadas y artefactos explosivos— cuenta con casco en V, arquitectura típica de los vehículos antiminas, y está certificado bajo estándares OTAN STANAG 4569, con nivel II balístico y nivel III de protección contra explosiones.
