It’s sad that you characterise it this way Rupert. You keep trying to tell us how honest you are but you’re not. The Tories tacked a call for an enquiry into grooming gangs as an amendment onto the back of a bill for Children’s Wellbeing. The same amendment also called for the bill to be blocked. So what did you expect Labour to do? Kill their own bill to appease people like you who are politicising this abhorrent subject for political gain? Why hasn’t there been a motion passed in its own right requesting this? Labour had to vote no or kill their own intended legislation. Strategic by the Tories to force Labour into a corner so they and dishonest people like you could say they “voted against an enquiry into grooming gangs” when in fact they voted against an amendment which would block their children’s wellbeing bill.
