I have discovered that Ofcom does not oversee the BBC in the same way as it does ITV, Ch4 and Ch5. There is a system called BBC First, where complaints are referred from Ofcom back to the BBC to address. You can follow up again with Ofcom, but the reality is that most will not bother.
We were @LyricBelfast to see Brian Friel’s ‘Faith Healer’. Brilliant acting. The title reminded us of a late friend who sold cars in Holywood and regularly got calls asking if he was the ‘faith healer’. His reply was usually: “No missus, I’m Terence McKeag - I’m a Fiat dealer!”

Distressingly, I saw tonight that the account of my lovely ex-colleague Sharon B, who died last month, has been hacked. I've reported it, so please do too. This is awful.

.@U105radio are currently telling us that the latest listening figures are just out. No they’re not! The quarterly RAJAR survey results are due out in seven days on Thursday 29th October. By doing this, U105 are blatantly misleading their advertisers and audience. @Ofcom
If a @bbcradioulster presenter ever corrects you or cuts you off for using what @BBC deems to be colourful language, just remember that after tonight (Weds), the word ‘bollocks’ is now acceptable on @BBCNewsNI & @BBCnireland. What’s more, it was the live presenter who said it. 🤔
📻 One week to go to the release of the latest @RAJARLtd quarterly listening figures for NI radio stations. Has @U105radio done enough to claw back lost listeners following the departure of six popular presenters in Spring/Summer? The results are due out on Thursday 29th October.
A fascinating insight into the songs associated with the 1798 Rebellion and the Society of United Irishmen. An excellent production worth another watch. Congratulations to all at Imagine Media Belfast and TG4. @ImagineMediaTV @TG4TV

A speeding driver who killed a man will be behind bars for only 15½ months. Another got 2½ years. What is this aversion in our culture to putting people in jail for a long time? From death drivers to Donaldson, the public feels cheated by meagre sentences belfasttelegraph.co.uk/comme…

Great reporting on this from
Elaine Mitchell but why was there a day by day BBC podcast on a recent Belfast based inquest and not on this hugely important inquiry in Omagh with serious implications for cross border relations?
Police investigations into the Omagh bombing did not follow guidelines and "shortcomings" in the inputting of data may have lead to "missed opportunities", the inquiry into the explosion has heard.
