Love this from @Counsell_C! Constant reading so important for all history teachers and is why twitter and @historybookgrp for recommendations are so important.

#WorldMentalHealthDay
We all have mental health; sometimes it's great, other times it's not. Some of us have long term diagnosis, whilst some of us will only suffer temporarily.
Either way, we all need to talk about #mentalhealth & not just today. Let's make it the norm!

And here is the evidence that @GavinWilliamson clearly says on @thismorning βthat some schools would have just given children A*, A or a B!!β

Please don't call them Teacher assessed grades. This puts the responsibility on teachers alone.
Most schools have moderated, adjusted & amended the CAGs using teacher predictions, past & present data etc. They are centre assessed grades. Don't put the onus on individual teachers!
βWe now believe it is better to offer young people and parents certainty by moving to teacher assessed grades for both A and AS level and GCSE results.β Education Secretary @GavinWilliamson
After an extraordinarily difficult year for students, this news will provide certainty.

Stop calling them 'teacher' predicted grades. They are CENTRE assessed grades. The moderation involved was rigorous from teacher-head of department-SLT and many schools, including mine, were cautious for fear of a government algorithm scenario. A government preparing a scapegoat.
