He talks sense
Why are Indians disliked so much? Indians are competent. Often the best workers in the room. Low violent crime. Minimal welfare use. The numbers do not scream problem. The real reason is simpler and uglier than the usual complaints. The stereotype does not come from the quiet software engineer in Stuttgart or the doctor in Manchester. It comes from India itself. Open defecation. Garbage in the street. Zero regard for public space. Noise, chaos, and the constant sense that other people’s comfort is optional. The productive Indians in Europe rarely see this clearly. They do not shit on the pavement. They show up on time. They smell fine. They assume the resistance is irrational prejudice against high-performing people. It is not. It is resistance to the fact you are “not us and never will be us.” It’s called tribalism. Look it up some time.

Be warned. Dubai is great 😂
In Dubai, a baseless allegation can result in a travel ban. The ease of access to punitive outcomes has been all too tempting for some spouses to resist. We’ve helped women & men escape unfair prosecution from vindictive & controlling spouses. Contact Detained in Dubai for help

Jesus “brothers” are fighting with each other.
🇦🇪 🇸🇦 🇾🇪 The UAE could be feeding targeting intel to the Houthis... the same Houthis firing missiles at Saudi Arabia. Gulf rulers are all hedging against whoever they fear most, and retired Colonel Douglas Macgregor suspects Abu Dhabi is playing both sides: “When have the Arab elites in the Arabian Peninsula been shy about stabbing each other in the back?” If two of Washington’s closest Gulf partners are knifing each other, the coalition the US would lean on for another round with Iran is already coming apart. @DougAMacgregor

It started with Merkel
🇩🇪🇵🇱 For decades, Poles packed up and moved to Germany for a better life. Now the traffic is starting to flow the other way. Nearly 5,000 Germans moved to Poland last year, the most since the pandemic, and more than moved to Britain, Italy or the Netherlands, per Germany's own statistics office. Ask the people who made the move and you hear the same list: lower taxes, less bureaucracy, trains that actually run on time, and an economy where everything just feels simpler. A Berliner who moved to Warsaw said that everyone around him is optimistic, while talking to friends back home just brings him down. Even German media is now asking what Poland is doing right that Germany isn't. Turns out the grass really is greener on the other side of the Oder. Sources: Handelsblatt, Remix News / Writer: Julie

The decline of #Japan. Islamification has started in this beautiful country. Shame on the Japanese PM.
Japan Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi signs a 10-year labour agreement with Bangladesh. Bangladesh will send 100,000 workers to Japan every year, according to AP.

Brilliant glass, those of a vintage age will remember the great British glass company Pilkington. Was taken over by the Japanese > 20 years ago.
🚨🇨🇳 A Chinese glass company just turned the RIOTS in France into FREE advertising! Hengxinfeng filmed NOTHING, just posted a video of its unbreakable windows on social media, and went VIRAL. EPIC TROLLING!

Life’s unfair!
Some guy buying the SP500 every month, grilling burgers in his backyard right now, and doing 0 research, will outperform a shocking number of people who spend 8 hours a day analyzing the stock market.

Sad that this wasn’t recognised when he was PM.
What a thoroughly decent man Sunak is. And an exceptional brain to match. I hope he runs for PM again.

Ludicrous
I read a piece in the FT this week about the price of being middle class in Britain now and it said a couple earning £436,000 combined take home £216,000. That’s a crazy amount of tax, and it doesn't include VAT on purchases, council tax, stamp duty or other taxes (I think does include pension contributions). I can’t stop thinking about it.

BREAKING: Flávio Bolsonaro flees Brazil to the US after losing the presidential election to Lula da Silva, per Metrópoles. "The plane is in flight," people close to Bolsonaro said. He is traveling with his wife and two daughters and is expected to land in Florida on Tuesday afternoon, where he plans to request political asylum.
