If you want to know the key mechanism of a Color Revolution, here's an analogy.
It's kind of like hyperinflation.
Hyperinflation is not just really bad inflation, it's the complete loss of faith and legitimacy of a currency, resulting in a currency collapse.
No one wants to accept that currency as a form of payment. The people reject it, and want to be paid with something else.
Color Revolutions work in the same way.
The decisive phase is not the mass protests, it's the complete loss of faith and legitimacy of a government.
Too few citizens support the government to sustain the leader staying in power. Once his support disappears, so will he.
The mass protests, propaganda, and elite defection are the contributing factors to the "hyperinflationary" collapse of a government.
The Color Revolution's job is to whittle that support and legitimacy away until the government collapses.
The government's job is to defend its legitimacy and maintain enough support to stay in power.
That's the ballgame.

As a former Democrat, let me tell you that Democrats do not understand MAGA. MAGA understands Democrats. But they do not understand us.
In their ignorance, Democrats fear MAGA far more than MAGA fears Democrats.
What Democrats understand best is power. They understand that if Vance can begin consolidating and creating a permanent MAGA establishment, the damage to the Democrats' power starts becoming irreversible.
MAGA is strong. Nothing like it has been seen in a century. Yet it is still fledgling. And this is the time for Democrats to strike. It will be 10x worse than after Trump 1.0, because the threat of MAGA is greater.
If they take Congress and the presidency, Democrats' first moves will therefore be to make DC and Puerto Rico states and pack the Supreme Court. It will be their equivalent of the Save Act. And there are no Democrat equivalent of RINOs. They will all fall in line with the agenda and do it with ruthless speed, as one voice and one body.
Then it's over. They will systematically hunt down and destroy MAGA. Many establishment GOP politicians will help. There will be no new "more right wing" party. It will be over.
If you have been shocked by the behavior of the Democrats, you have not seen anything yet.

2016. Obama's Press Secretary is asked about reports that during immigration raids, ICE agents were storming into homes without warrants, going room to room looking for illegals, and making children tremble with fear.
Notice how it wasn't even a big deal. The person asking the question was calm and didn't even scream "Nazi!" The Press Secretary just blew off the question and moved on.
