This has gone very badly for JD Vance. This video explains just how badly. It’s insane: Despite his position and patronage opportunities, he seems to have no friends who matter; i.e., he is cooked.
After he posted this risible screed—not a “Mea Culpa” but an “Israel Culpa”—distorting Trump’s words from the day before and stabbing his boss in the front while echoing, just in more civilised language, the core arguments of his close friend Tucker Carlson, not one of the many hundreds of elected national Republicans came to his aid with a repost or a supportive comment.
They hate him. He has no base beyond the small clique of publicly unknown postliberal think tankers. The Vanceguard is just smoke and mirrors.
Of the 30,000 regular reposts, the most senior Republicans of any kind to support his post appear to be Vickie Paladino, a city councillor in Queens, and Walter Hudson, a Minnesota state representative.
His unprecedented attack by a VP on a sitting president might lead to historical events, so it’s important to preserve this kind of ephemera.
Why did he do this? Most likely Vance understood that he was about to get thrown under the bus and decided he had nothing to lose. It always seemed likely Vance and his allies would get scapegoated by Trump for a defeat, and that became much more likely when the scale of the collapse became clear, and as it was also clear that Vance’s allies had betrayed Trump in ultra-damaging ways, most of all his mentor, Tucker, with his 100-million-view nuke post.
So here, for posterity, is the full list of the accounts with over 10,000 followers who RTed his attack on his boss and his own administration.
One of the things the data analysts on our side obsessed over was "composition"—whether the electorate looked close enough to 2024 for Republicans to win. And despite polls that showed a Democrat blowout, the data kept on telling us the same story: in some states turnout was merely OK, in other states it was downright amazing, and in no state was it catastrophic. There was a genuine sense of optimism on our team: our people were showing up.
So, I asked the smartest data guy I know, does that mean we're going to shock the world? "No," he told me. "We might do better than the polls suggest. But the data is telling us that a lot of Trump/Vance 2024 voters are pissed and planning to vote for the other guys. Our voters are turning out, but they may not vote for us."
Well, that looks prophetic now. Our voters did show up. In Florida, for example, the electorate was 9 points more Republican than Democrat, just a couple points worse than 2024. Undoubtedly there were places we could have done better on turnout. But the main problem is not turnout. The main problem is that many people who voted for Trump/Vance in 2024 voted for Democrats in 2026.
There will be a lot of infighting and arguing over what happened and why that is. One of the pollsters I really respect told me that our economic messaging wasn’t sharp enough down the stretch. I’m sure that’s true.
But the real reason we lost is obvious to almost everyone.
Another pollster—one of the smartest people I know in politics, told me yesterday we’d lose the generic ballot by 13 points. I felt negative going into Tuesday, but even I was shocked by this. In his polling, he saw that a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. He asked those voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were:
1) End the war
2) Focus on cost of living/inflation
3) Put America First
4) Change our relationship to Israel
Our voters showed up. And the above four reasons are why many of them voted for Democrats. This is according to a pollster who nailed the results. While many spent Monday attacking Rachel Campos Duffy for calling for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, it turns out her political advice was sound. (She’s also a great person.)
In the next few months, there's going to be a lot of gaslighting. Expect to hear any number of establishment politicians say the solution to our woes is amnesty. I'm open to the idea that we should change enforcement—by focusing more on businesses that hire illegal labor, for instance. But anyone pushing amnesty is lying to you.
The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so last night.
If you'd like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so. Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay. Agree or disagree, that's at least honest.
But everyone knows why we lost. And any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there.
I remain hopeful about our country. To the people who are pissed off and want to say, “I told you so”: you’re right, you did tell us so. Take that energy into electing Republicans who share your worldview. To the people who are just pissed at the results, you should be. Let’s take that anger and get back to the work of saving our country.
Its pretty obvious how Trump sees the world.
Friends and allies are nothing to him. They’re already on his side, so what more can they do?
He obsesses over his worst enemies, because the possibility of either defeating them or winning them over gives Trump another trophy, real or imagined, to nail to his wall.
That’s why he “gets along great” with folks like Putin, Xi, Kim Jong Un.
Its fairly clear what will happen. Trump will make a grand deal with the Democrats to avoid impeachment and conviction. This will involve supporting things that Dems will insist on: a sharply more progressive income tax; wealth taxes; a much more anti-Israel foreign policy; activist judges on SCOTUS; and aggressive limits and taxes on data centers; and generally more spending on social programs.
Immigration will be harder to agree on as its been such a signature issue for Trump, and tariffs won’t be affected because the left does not really care about Americans’ economic problems and secretly loves the tariffs.
The bottom line is that you will soon see Trump cheering for a legislative package to dramatically increase income taxes and introduce a national wealth tax.
Kim Strassel is always worth reading in toto, but if you're pressed for time, the TL;DR is: JD Vance's antisemitism has lured him into becoming the country's biggest liar, again.
This is a total hoot.
About the only thing it gets correct is that 2024 Trump voters were "pissed." As the polls spell out, very clearly, they were angry about tariffs--a word weirdly not found in this post, but which exit polls showed 65% of voters dislike. There's a straight line between those punishing costs and Senate losses in Kansas, Iowa, Ohio (farm areas) and beyond.
Angry the WH instead spent this past year talking about ballrooms and the Kennedy center. Frustrated by the complete absence of a next-two-year agenda (85% are concerned by healthcare costs. Where is the GOP plan?)
They are also unhappy about the war, though the numbers might be different if the president been clear about an exit strategy. And not sure where the "smartest" (and most anonymous) pollster in the world got the Israel argument. Exit polls show that of the 51% of voters who said our support for Israel was "too strong," only 19% of even that subset of respondents were Republican. The vast majority of GOP voters said our support for Israel was "just right" or "not strong enough."
Amusing to claim the problem here was traditional conservatives, as they were sidelined. Tillis was run out of the party, dooming NC. As was Cornyn. The WH had a pure expression of its second-term Trump/Vance agenda and loyalty in its chosen candidate of Ken Paxton. That would be the smoking carcass sitting on a 12-point loss in. . . Texas of all places. Meanwhile, who exactly is even talking about "asylum"? That's just a smear-y effort to preemptively shut down valid criticism.
The GOP strength has always been in its coalition--free-marketers, defense hawks, cultural conservatives. Trump's first-term success came from largely following that Reagan playbook. The second-term leaned into me-too progressive populism--at the veep's urging--and it ain't working.
The weird thing is that the veep remains more obsessed with remaking the party than with winning. Winning will require a lot better understanding of what happened yesterday than what is on offer in this alternate-universe view.
So much noise today, I was going to sit it out.
But this post from Vance -- TL;DR: "Blame the Jews," is just stunningly evil.
And of course, no way it went out without Trump's approval.
Jesus fucking Christ, maybe Trump *IS* Hitler.
Welcome to 1930s Deutschland.

Guess they want me to stop posting this, too. – at Nikaia, Greece
🚨🚨 I have just been informed by @ReawakenUSA CEO @realjamesowen that he was called by @UMich and asked to have my video of yesterday’s attack removed due to negative blowback on lunatic, Temulun Togochog
I’ll repost it every day until she’s expelled and charged.
Has anyone noticed that Instagram is now entirely and unashamedly ads from start to finish? Any semblance of a "community" on Instagram, or a "social" experience, is now entirely gone.
Of course, Facebook too is dead, having gone totally dry long ago now.
So what is holding Meta up? WhatsApp? AI?
Can someone explain to me how Meta can keep a front-row seat at the tech party when its operating properties are so dated and abandoned?
I’d urge everyone who posts a copy of this video (rather than reposting) to make the video downloadable. Folks should download it. This is the best way to insure that it never dies, no matter how much they try to suppress it.
Hi @UMich i just want to be absolutely explicitly clear that NO, this video of your student committing Assault & Battery, resisting arrest, making death threats, & engaging in Anti Semitism ON CAMPUS is NOT coming down.
In fact, on behalf of @camhigby & others who were assaulted & threatened on your campus with your consent, & protection, I’m going to reshare it here.
And I’m going to tag some friends with reach to make sure it keeps going. Here. On telegram. On facebook. On Rumble. On YouTube. On Truth Social.
Remember, you asked for it.

Its only fairthe rest of the world learns you’re desperately trying to hide this, @UMich especially from the Justice & Education departments.

This is f*cking insane. SpaceXAI engineer Lauren Tan (ex-Cursor):
"99% of people use GrokBot for 1% of what it can do. They run one agent without /loops + /graphs
I run a team of 65+ GrokBot agents. By 9 a.m. my Chief of Staff has the day planned, my PM has handed out the work, and the workers have shipped half of it"
In this 1-hour session, SpaceXAI engineer shows how to build that team from scratch
GrokBot → Chief of Staff → PM → Workers → /Loops → Self-Improving Team
A /loop sends every task back until it actually works
A /graph lets one agent hand its result to the next without you in the middle
Anyone can ask GrokBot a question, almost nobody gives it a team to run
Worth more than most $2250 agentic engineering courses
Watch it today
Then read the article below on building your own self-improving GrokBot system ↓
