Yesterday, the Westerwelle Foundation team paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Yves Iradukunda, Minister of State for ICT and Innovation.
During the visit, our Regional Expansion Lead, Sarah Rukundo, introduced Albert Mugisha as the new Country Director of Westerwelle Startup Haus Kigali, alongside our Programme Manager, Nini Rose Moru.
The discussions focused on strengthening collaboration, creating more growth opportunities for Rwandan startups, and further positioning Rwanda as a strategic gateway to East Africa and the broader continent.
We believe in the potential of Rwandan entrepreneurs and the impact they can create when given the right support, connections, and opportunities.
We're excited to build on these conversations and continue contributing to a stronger, more connected, and thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem in Rwanda! 🇷🇼💙
Excited to join the team. Thank you @WSH_Kigali 💙🤍🇷🇼.
Drumrolls please… 🥁
Say hello to our new Program Manager, Nini Rose! 👋🏽
Nini brings 8+ years of experience building and managing programmes that support entrepreneurs, organisations, and young people across Sub-Saharan Africa.
She’s worked across Rwanda, Lesotho, and Mauritius, leading everything from entrepreneurship and SME support programmes to large-scale workforce development initiatives.
Basically… programmes are very much her thing. 😭
Outside of work, Nini is also one of those people who willingly goes to the gym at 5AM.
We listen and we don’t judge. 😭
We’re really excited to have her bringing all that experience, structure, and fresh energy to WSHK.
Welcome to the team, Nini! 💙
Thank you to @yves_Iradukunda and the @RwandaICT team for hosting us. We had an insightful discussion on strengthening Rwanda’s startup ecosystem. Excited for what lies ahead and grateful for the opportunity to serve🇷🇼🤍.
