The thing that bugs women about the postpartum post is that women are asked to put aside their desires for 10+ months. During pregnancy you can't drink, smoke or eat certain foods. Your body hurts you might throw up for months. Childbirth is excruciating. It's a huge sacrifice.
Men sacrificing pleasure for a few weeks shouldn't be too big of an ask.

As a child bereaved by fatal domestic abuse, headlines calling a man who killed three women a “nice guy” and “normal person” have felt personally traumatic.
The media called my father a “gentle man” and “nice chap”, which misrepresented the controlling reality that myself and my family experienced for years. It compounded our trauma.
Reporting like this causes so much damage – both to victims’ families, and to public understandings of coercive control. It has to stop. Now.
We need every single newsroom trained in how to report domestic abuse deaths, and to lobby the regulator for stronger rules. The press has the power to prevent further deaths and save women’s lives.

suspend 🇦🇫’s Test status
allocate 50% of their funding towards supporting the women’s team
allow the women’s team to play as a neutral ICC XI

When I see how a man is dressed, I assume he used clothing he had available, felt was appropriate for the occasion, & that made himself feel great. I certainly don’t assume he put himself together for my attention. Why can’t men extend the same decency to women?
So my workplace has put on an event for #IWD with mandatory office attendance (on a day my team usually works from home). What do we think about this??
