Hey @DJSnM thanks for the shoutout! We would be happy to give you a closer look at how our observatories make these kinds of discoveries possible! Scott got it right, our TKO network’s patented tech is catching faint, fast-moving near-Earth objects that usually slip past conventional surveys, including large ones no one had spotted before. Our global network keeps advancing Space Domain Awareness, and we’re only getting better.

increasingly concerned that ai is revealing the mathematical world as negatively curved. instead of everyone wandering about in idea-space and clustering around the same famous conjectures (local positive curvature), ai is pushing out the boundaries rapidly and revealing that the space of mathematical ideas is ~hyperbolic (negative curvature). though this means there's lots left to discover, it also means that small separations between people/agents will lead to wandering alone. we may be emerging into an idea-space where there's so much to see and do but everyone is alone in a private heaven, unable to share their subtle joys with others...

Get ready to wave to an asteroid 👋🪨 In 2029, asteroid Apophis will swing by Earth, passing safely about 20,000 miles from the surface. The OSIRIS-APEX mission will meet up with the asteroid shortly after, to map the surface and study its chemical makeup.

Power changes what’s possible on the lunar surface. Our Power Tower is a 20-meter-tall, vertically deployed solar array system designed to provide more than 10 kilowatts of power for Moon Base operations at the lunar South Pole. Its modular architecture will support future surface networks, extending power beyond the lander to the assets that need it most. Explore the concept in our animation below, then watch a successful real-world deployment: youtu.be/wcirOp_E2J0

I rarely say this, but this is some pretty good work by NPR: “Five-hundred colleges and universities in the U.S. now share one alarming distinction: At least 40% of recent students who borrowed federal loans aren't paying them back.” “Were it not for federal student loans and grants, many of the schools on the list would close.”

The U.S. now has an “on orbit” space weapon to protect American forces, the Air Force secretary announced, in a not-so-subtle warning to China and Russia. It marked the first time the U.S. has acknowledged its own offensive capability in space. wapo.st/4iXuG44

God I feel like a broken record but I can’t help it. NASA is doing so good at fixing the public engagement problem, which is prior lack-thereof. NASA should be omnipresent; there shouldn’t be a day that goes by that even normies don’t see Jared in the news, or a T-38 flyby, or even the big show in November. It’s very evident that the current team, along with Jared, gets this. There’s not been an administrator in decades- maybe even ever, who has both understood this and has actually taken action on it. I’ve said it a million times before but it rings true, NASA is cool, its actually hard to represent it as anything else but that.
Pretty awesome to watch two NASA T-38s come over Acrisure Stadium for our first @NFL flyover! Thank you to the @steelers for welcoming us to Pittsburgh. A great first stop for this chapter of the Inspiration Tour. More to come!

This $161M contract allows us to invest substantial private capital alongside of the @USSpaceForce to rapidly advance the TRL of space nuclear power and propulsion systems. We will integrate our R1S space reactor design with a spacecraft, complete a ground test, and in addition, power an operational space force ground asset with the Mark-1 demo.
