Most web3 startups fail because they build backwards. Here's the right way:
- Start with pain, not tech - Find a real problem that keeps people awake at night
- Web3 ≠ automatic value - Only add blockchain if it genuinely improves your solution. Otherwise, go web2.
- Talk before you build - Interview a ton of potential users. Building without validation is expensive therapy.
- MVP first, funding second - Prove traction exists, then decide bootstrap vs. raise
- Community is everything - Especially for DePIN. Lose your community = lose your data = lose your business.
Design tokenomics and launch strategy around this truth.
The graveyard is full of "innovative" projects that nobody wanted.
