Colleges, like @ChesterfieldAC have had their funding cut by 30% since this Government came to power. I asked the Prime Minister why the education of young people who go to further education college is worth is worth so little to this Government
It was wonderful to meet @jsaborido50 the Cuban Minister for Higher Education, and @EmbacubaUk at our Westminster Kingsway college’s Victoria site today. I hope it will be the start of a very productive and mutually beneficial relationship
The Minister is also keen to hear about the expertise that we have across the whole college group @CitynIslington @CollegeNELondon @Westking and @capitalcct as well as our wider vision for education and skills.
Our guests @jsaborido50 and @embacuba_uk are having a guided tour of our fantastic and professional kitchens - Hospitality and tourism-related industries are potentially a very high-growth area for Cuba
It is an honour and a privilege to be hosting @jsaborido50 the Cuban Minister for Higher Education, at our Westminster Kingsway college today. We are discussing ways in which we might work together, and how we can support Cuba’s government to achieve their ambitions.
Cuba prioritises education, spending over 23% of its national budget on it. It has 50 #universities with over 50,000 #students It is an exciting time to be talking to them about a range of subjects.
This would be most welcome news #SpendingReview

Delighted to hear that 18 students from @Westking who served at the #ClinkBall2019 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel received job offers after the event from the hotel. Just shows the difference we can make by unselfishly working together. Congratulations to all involved.
I wholeheartedly agree. Ours is a wonderful sector with wonderful people working in it. #furthereducation #FE
