This is why open source matters.
First reverse engineering. Now video game recreations. Anthropic keeps tightening the restrictions. We need to start taking open-weight models seriously. Don't let a handful of companies decide what Al can and cannot build.

🔥Dr. Berg explains how cancer behaves like a parasite. Cheap antiparasitic meds like Fenbendazole and Ivermectin target those exact mechanisms. Why no big clinical trials from major centers? Expired patents = no pharma profits. #ivermectin

If you find the theft of $6.36 billion intriguing and would like to dig deeper into the Binance hack you might wanna give a follow to @BSVtony. Looks like he may have called it in June...

The biggest cybersecurity hack in history: over $6 BILLION stolen from Binance! Rumors quickly started circulating that it could’ve been an inside job! So let’s go through what actually happened… and why some people aren’t buying the official story

There is a safer way to build in crypto, believe it or not. #eUTXO #UTXO
🚨 Charles Hoskinson has shared an analysis of the Binance wallet attack, bringing fresh attention to one of crypto’s biggest challenges: security. What happened, and what questions does the incident raise for the industry? Read the full story 👇 songmarketcap.com/cardanonew… #Cardano #Binance #CryptoSecurity $ADA

Most of the crypto communities still doesn’t grasp the fundamentals of dual-token economics. 😴 But they will. 😎
Lace 2.5.0 Enables DUST Generation From NIGHT Held on Cardano The Lace browser wallet now lets users designate a Midnight address to receive DUST generated from NIGHT they hold on #Cardano. No need to move the tokens. NIGHT stays on Cardano while the chosen Midnight address starts generating DUST after roughly 12 hours. Easier access to Midnight transaction fees for $NIGHT holders. $ADA #Midnight #Lace #CardanoNews #Nightforce songmarketcap.com/midnightne…

🚨 BINANCE HACK — POTENTIAL DEFI CONTAGION UPDATE Interesting development. Onchain data confirms the hacker deposited approximately $60M in stolen $USDT into Aave and borrowed 19,762 $ETH (approximately $44.6M) before the freezes took effect. The hacker obtained ETH that cannot be frozen by a stablecoin issuer, leaving Aave holding the USDT collateral against the outstanding loan. If Tether freezes the collateral held inside Aave, liquidators could be unable to sell it to repay the loan. That could turn a Binance hack into an Aave bad-debt problem. And potentially expose DeFi lenders to losses from an exchange hack they had nothing to do with. That’s how contagion could begin. However, Aave says the position remains overcollateralised, its markets have reopened, and there is currently no confirmed bad debt from this position. Binance has committed to absorbing the losses from the hack. The question is whether the financial damage stays on Binance’s balance sheet or spreads through interconnected DeFi lending markets. The critical questions now: Has the $60M USDT collateral inside Aave actually been frozen? Can the collateral still be liquidated? And who ultimately absorbs the loss if it cannot? That’s the contagion risk worth watching. Not another Celsius, FTX or BlockFi situation yet. But an important test of whether the losses can be contained.
Remember. If Binance absorbs the losses from this hack, as it has committed to doing, the financial damage could largely remain with one company. That’s fundamentally different from the contagion we saw with Celsius, FTX, BlockFi, 3AC, Gemini Earn, Genesis, Terra LUNA and others. Those failures spread through interconnected lending, leverage and counterparty exposures. A company taking the hit itself is very different from passing losses through the entire system. That’s why the real test isn’t just the size of the hack. It’s whether Binance can honour all customer liabilities, restore withdrawals and absorb the losses without spreading them to others. So far, that’s the direction they’re signalling. But we still need to see the proof, which they have committed to providing. On the wider geopolitical point. I always look at the incentives. The potential incentives for MIC-linked intelligence agencies to conduct or exploit hacks include: Weakening independent financial infrastructure. Forcing companies into greater dependence on the FIC. Creating pressure for increased surveillance, regulation and centralised custody. Gaining access to financial intelligence and sensitive customer data. Disrupting financial networks used by geopolitical adversaries. Creating opportunities for financial assets and infrastructure to be acquired or controlled by FIC institutions. Binance had already been forced to accept U.S. government-appointed independent compliance monitors as part of its $4.3 billion settlement over money-laundering and sanctions violations. The settlement included a five-year U.S. Treasury monitorship, giving an independent monitor access to Binance’s books, records, systems, transactions and accounts. The DOJ also imposed a separate three-year compliance monitorship. CZ was forced to step down as CEO and later received a presidential pardon. Israel has also requested that Binance freeze funds connected to Palestinians and others, as part of its financial genocide. Think about what that means for the sovereignty of a global financial company. This is how I analyse the increasing subordination of financial infrastructure to the FIC. None of these incentives proves who carried out this hack. But I always follow the incentives, not just the headlines. Oh yeah. 🇮🇱 Every hack is always North Korea. 😂

This is why no $ADA or midnight-3:native were stolen in the large Binance hot-wallet compromise on October 29, 2026 Per Charles Hoskinson ADA & NIGHT, are secured in Cardano multi-signature scripts (using the eUTxO model). These require extra authorization from a separate air-gapped key controlled by another team, plus a timelock/challenge window. NIGHT also benefits from Midnight’s privacy/ZK features that obscure exact balances and destinations.
All the midnight-3:native tokens stolen in the $6.3 billion Binance hack:

Some protocols already have decent privacy-preservation in this regard For example, in Cardano, you can't know which pool will generate a block ahead of time However, I think any and all additional privacy wins are going to be important to keep the network secure

Cardano has been the grown-up in the room all along.
The current picture looks gloomy. The past few weeks have been brutal for many people working on software and infrastructure, myself included. The internet is a teenager that got away with being reckless and moving fast for 30 years. That's no longer viable: AI changed the playing field. Growing up hurts, but I'm optimistic. The adult version, once the industry catches up, is a much better place to live.

Bill Maher and Justine Bateman put words to something a lot of people feel but rarely say out loud. Maher calls it the religion of wokeism, and Bateman makes the sharpest point here: you can agree with 8 out of 10 tenets and still get thrown out. At that point it stops being a political view and becomes a church with excommunication. What she says about why people stay in line is interesting too. It’s not conviction, it’s fear. Fear of standing on your own without a group to belong to. Maher has spent decades refusing to carry a membership card for either side, and it has cost him plenty of friends in his own industry. Thinking for yourself has become so rare that it now looks like rebellion.

Yesterday, hackers stole more than $6 billion from Binance in less than 4 hours, the biggest heist in history. The Clarity Act would have given crypto firms legal cover to freeze suspicious transactions the instant law enforcement calls. Every minute lost is money gone for good.
