As I presented my latest report at the UN two days ago, the US ambassador managed to be even more insulting than Israel’s. No small feat, given that Israeli representatives at UN in New York have long been second to none in diplomatic buffoonery.
At the UN on Monday, Israel's ambassador called @FranceskAlbs a fraud and a liar. The US representative called her a lunatic.
Her report documents nearly 300 journalists killed in Gaza. Of course, neither of them addressed it.
Then she answered.

Yes Mr Blair:
Palestinians in Gaza and elsewhere need an end to genocide, Israel's militarised colonisation and apartheid.
They need respect for Intl Law and justice.
They also need no more advice from those who have profited from their misery for too long.
Be kind. Step aside

Centre tells Supreme Court that India has one of the lowest cost of medicines in the world during the hearing of the matter about huge markups in MRP of medicines.
Bench: Don't go into lowest cost. Then we will also have to talk about low per capita income and many other things in India.

Endless questions and evidence of loot by hospitals using inflated MRPs
Cancer medicine costing Rs 11,000 and hospital charged MRP of Rs 1.3 lakh
Totally legal loot of patients👇
An information which may be very disturbing to everyone. A medical distributor of a particular injection which is used in chemotherapy, his wife was suffering from cancer. She was taking treatment in a very renowned hospital. We will not take the name of the hospital. So the dealer requested the hospital authorities, sir I am myself a dealer and to me the injection comes at Rs. 11,000 dealer price. The hospital refused to administer that injection and charged Rs. 1,30,000 for that injection. Can you show any justification for this loot, please? Why this difference? Where does the money go? Supreme Court asks Centre

I as Health Minister tried to bring a Health Act to cap prices in Private Hospitals. Obviously, the Private Hospital lobby did not want that law and therefore Health Secreatary also opposed it tooth & nail.
Unfortunately, Hon’ble HC Judge took side of Health Secretary & it indirectly helped the Pvt Hospital lobby. I told Hon’ble Court about it. But he did not listen. Instead he threatened to send me to jail. 😀
Hon’ble Judge is now Hon’ble SC Judge.

Recently, the Centre told the Supreme Court that trade margin for cancer drugs is now fixed at 30%
Court is informed that the 30% capping is only on the MRP of the drug and not on the PTR (price to retailer).
Centre: the question is how much control? Can it be complete control? Or can it be….
Court: be allowed to run amok… when you talk of patients and life, should we have such capitalistic thinking?
Ruchi Angrish (She/Her/Hers) retweeted
Centre: India already has one of the lowest prices in the world. The dichotomy is there which we are addressing from time to time.
Court: suddenly you took decision to bring capping of cancer drugs down to 30%. Why were you silent since so many years? Don’t force us to ask harsh questions.
Ruchi Angrish (She/Her/Hers) retweeted
Centre: we were already deliberating on it.
Court: is it rocket science? You’re dealing with the lives of people. Don’t take it as commerce. You’re talking only in terms of commerce, economic policy etc.
Centre: we are only balancing.
Court: no. There is no balancing at all. What is the justification for the difference in prices? You are not able to come with an answer. We have asked you 30 times.
Ruchi Angrish (She/Her/Hers) retweeted
Court: you are a commercial hospital. You charge for everything. But why should medicine be quoted at 100,200 times? There’s a component of corporate discount. Provided by manufacturers. That’s still under the cover. You can’t justify saying MRP is rightly quoted because I am running a private hospital.
Ruchi Angrish (She/Her/Hers) retweeted
Court: the patients don’t have any bargaining power.
Centre: complete control is not the answer.
Court: 90% medicines are out of bounds for DPCO. We were reading a news item. There’s a pending recovery of 8000cr from these manufacturers for this difference in prices.
Ruchi Angrish (She/Her/Hers) retweeted
Court to Centre: tell us the rationale. You’re saying the answer to this difference (in prices) are to be given by the medical industries. You talk about innovation, tell us in the last 30 years, 5 new molecules developed by the Indian pharma industry. Name five.
Ruchi Angrish (She/Her/Hers) retweeted
Court: hospitals have the power to control the patient in this manner. Simple thing as a drip line. Rs. 15, price to retailer, selling at Rs. 250. Why is the DPCO in place at all? The government is allowing this to happen. There have been three parliamentary committees on this. And their outcome is not very convenient to people who pull the strings, let us tell you.

HELLO! I HAVE AN ANNOUNCEMENT THAT BENEFITS YOU! WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT.
We are back. And this time, we are taking on arguably the biggest wellness hack that people spend money on. The NEW Citizens Project will now look at a massive list of Probiotics for their quality claims.
People consume probiotics for a host of things. Gut health, protection against alcohol use, brain improvement, improving digestive symptoms, exercise recovery and even sleep!
Despite generating over $75 billion in annual sales (and heading toward $115 billion by 2030), most store-bought probiotics suffer from poor quality control because they are regulated as food supplements rather than medicines.
Independent lab tests regularly reveal that what is on the label is not inside the bottle: products frequently contain dead bacteria, far lower doses than advertised, missing bacterial types, or unlisted contaminants. Even when the microbes are alive on the shelf, poorly made capsules often fail to protect them, meaning stomach acid destroys the bacteria before they ever reach your gut.
These widespread failures show an urgent need for strict regulation and mandatory independent testing before products reach consumers. For a generally healthy person, over-the-counter probiotics rarely deliver real value for money or live up to their bold marketing promises.
Good bacteria are not a one-size-fits-all cure; specific microbes only help specific illnesses, and in a healthy gut, supplement bacteria usually pass right through the body without sticking around. Unless a doctor recommends a clinically proven product for a specific medical issue, buying daily general probiotics is largely an expensive waste of money.
Are you wasting money of the hyper rated probiotic supplements? Are you really getting what you spend money for? The Citizens Probiotics Project will look at standards and quality of probiotics sold to you across the medical and wellness pharma spectrum and in great depth that is the highest standards in medical science and industry.
We have the list (>100 products) and the pricing is being finalized. But, it you would like to get onboard and help us with early logistics, such as purchases and travel then please think about supporting us here with the minimum of ₹500 pages.razorpay.com/meshPromo… ...or wait for the full project to go live for specific levels of funding for the public, in a few weeks.
We hope we can provide you with the highest quality of citizens science you'll ever witness in this era. Thank you in advance!

Listen to one of India’s finest judicial minds, Justice (Retd) S Muralidhar, speak about Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza.
Also listen to how Muralidhar responds to the bogus criticism leveled by the ambassadors of the Israel and the US against the latest report by U.N. Independent Commission of Inquiry that he heads.
Solid stuff. @DrSJaishankar may wish to take notes.

"What is Israel afraid of? If they think that they are doing the right thing, why don't they allow international journalists from everywhere, including Europe and the United States, to go and visit the Gaza Strip.
Israel's violations of international law in the occupied Palestinian territory are neither new nor isolated incidents.
And for those who attack individuals and to run away from the substance of these reports, those who are a threat to the UN and the international community are those who do not abide by their obligations under the charter of the UN and relevant UN resolutions, cannot come and lecture to us about their bad behavior, condemned almost by the entire international community and hundreds of millions of people demonstrated in the streets."
