"Last day of term before fall break. And I'm stuck in here, on bed rest." She couldn't help but roll her eyes, sadly.
"What did they con you into making them for lunch?" She unwrapped the grilled cheese and took a much needed bite.

It is Wednesday and @RuffledChaste has been on her mind.
Overly organized and very persistent .
Caroline Forbes you are insane.
But it’s woman crush Wednesday.
Come play with me.
Her eyes lit up when she saw the pumpkins.
"Is there a way we can save these forever? I don't want them to to bad. I want to keep them." She asked him as she took a bite out of a cupcake.
"They will be running Cake my Day before we know it. These are so good. Did Emily help them?"
Emily was her favourite cro.
The boys had so much fun showing their mommy what they did yesterday!
The pumpkins are adorable and they wanted something for the twins too, they're going to be the best big brothers.🖤
We definitely got lucky.
@RuffledChaste
Her eyes lit up and she grinned like a crazy person. "Hey, you."
She scooted up onto the bed and pushed her pillows up behind her, so she could sit more.comfortably. Holding out her hands when she smelt the food and the decaffeinated coffee.
"You, Teller, are my knight in a tarnished kutte. Thank you." She gushed. "Did the boys get to school okay? Did you remember the gifts School lunches and a snack for recess?"

💕🥂 WOMAN APPRECIATION WEDNESDAY | MY BEST FRIEND, ELENA GILBERT 🥂💕
@doppeliciousx
To my best friend, my chosen sister, my favourite person to share secrets with, and the woman who once stole my brand-new dress before I'd even had the chance to wear it. Yes, Elena, we're bringing that up again. You thought you'd escaped accountability, didn't you? Think again, sweetheart.
Okay, everybody, gather around, because today I am dedicating an entire post to one of the most important women in my life. And before anyone asks, yes, I have colour-coordinated my thoughts, mentally organised my feelings, and probably spent far too much time deciding how to express myself.
What can I say? I'm Caroline Forbes. I don't do things halfway, especially when it comes to the people I love.
And this girl? This girl deserves every single word.
Elena Gilbert. My best friend. My sister by choice. My person. 💗
Where do I even begin with you, Gilbert?
We've been through enough together to fill several books, a couple of very dramatic television seasons, and probably an entire therapist's waiting room. We've laughed, cried, argued, made questionable decisions, survived situations that should honestly have come with a warning label, and somehow managed to come out the other side still choosing each other.
Which, frankly, is impressive considering some of the things you've put me through.
And yes, Elena, I am looking directly at you.
THE DRESS.
Let's talk about the dress, shall we?
Because I have not forgotten.
I had a brand-new dress. A gorgeous dress. A dress I had carefully chosen, bought, and mentally planned an entire outfit around. I had accessories in mind. I had shoes selected. I had the whole look mapped out because, unlike some people, I understand that a good outfit requires preparation.
And what did you do?
You stole it.
Before I'd even worn it.
ELENA.
GILBERT.
The audacity.
The absolute, unmitigated, fashion-criminal audacity of it all. 😂
Do you understand how close you came to being removed from my emergency contact list? I could have been forced to make a formal complaint. I could have called the police. I could have assembled a committee. There could have been paperwork, Elena. Actual paperwork.
And don't think I didn't consider it.
You didn't even give me the courtesy of letting me wear it first! Do you know what that does to a woman who has already planned the entire outfit in her head? It's practically a betrayal of the highest order.
I hope you enjoyed wearing it, by the way.
I hope you looked in the mirror and thought, Wow, Caroline is going to be absolutely furious when she finds out.
Because if that was your intention, congratulations, sweetheart. Mission accomplished.
And before you start defending yourself, I would like the record to show that I am still emotionally recovering.
Will I ever forgive you?
Obviously.
Will I ever let you forget it?
Absolutely not.
That dress is now a permanent part of our friendship history, right alongside all the other ridiculous things you've done that I have graciously decided not to hold against you.
You're welcome, by the way.
Honestly, the things I put up with for you. You should be buying me flowers every Wednesday for the rest of our lives.
Preferably roses.
And something sparkly.
I'm not unreasonable. 💅💗
But here's the thing, Elena. Beneath all the teasing, all the dramatic declarations about stolen dresses, and all the times I've threatened to disown you for your questionable fashion-related decisions, there is something I need you to know.
I love you. So much more than I probably manage to tell you often enough.
You're not just my best friend because we've known each other for years. You're my best friend because of who you are. Because of the way you care about people. Because you have this enormous heart that keeps making room for others, even when life gives you more than enough reasons to protect it.
Because you show up.
Because you +)
because I know you'll understand why I'm laughing.
You're the person I want beside me for the important moments, the little moments, and all the ordinary days that somehow become special just because we're sharing them.
You're the friend I can be completely ridiculous with.
And, believe me, that is saying something.
I have a reputation for being dramatic, Elena. I cannot be expected to maintain that reputation without a willing participant.
You have your role.
I have mine.
It's a beautiful arrangement, really.
Although, if you steal another dress, I reserve the right to revise the terms of our friendship agreement.
I'm thinking a formal written apology, a shopping trip, and at least one item of clothing that is exclusively mine.
No borrowing.
No sneaking it out of my wardrobe.
No innocent little smile followed by, But Caroline, you weren't wearing it!
I don't care if I wasn't wearing it! I was THINKING about wearing it!
There is a difference, Gilbert.
A very important difference. 😂👗
Anyway, where was I?
Oh, yes.
Being disgustingly sentimental about my best friend.
Elena, I appreciate you for all the things you do that you probably think go unnoticed. I appreciate the way you listen when I need to talk, the way you make me laugh when I'm taking myself too seriously, and the way you remind me that life can still be good even when it doesn't go according to plan.
I appreciate your kindness, your loyalty, your courage, and the way you continue to care about the people around you.
I appreciate that you can call me out when I'm wrong without making me feel like I'm somehow less worthy of being loved.
And I appreciate that you let me do the same for you.
I appreciate the history we have, the memories we've made, and the fact that we are still making new ones.
I appreciate the late-night conversations, the silly jokes, the serious talks, the laughter, and all those little moments that might seem insignificant to anybody else but mean the world to me.
Most of all, I appreciate that I get to call you my best friend.
Because not everybody finds a friendship that feels like home.
Not everybody finds somebody who can know their flaws, their fears, their dreams, and their most ridiculous habits and still choose to stay.
I did.
I found you.
And I will never take that for granted.
You are loved, Elena Gilbert. Not because of what you do for other people, but because of who you are.
You don't have to save everybody to be worthy of love.
You don't have to put everybody else first every single time.
You don't have to be strong every minute of every day.
You deserve the same kindness you give away so freely. You deserve people who remind you of your worth, who celebrate your happiness, and who stand beside you when life gets difficult.
And I hope I can always be one of those people.
I hope that years from now, when we're older and have accumulated even more ridiculous stories, we can look back on everything we've been through and still laugh about it.
I hope we're still arguing about clothes.
I hope you're still stealing things from my wardrobe when you think I won't notice.
And I hope I'm still threatening to revoke your best-friend privileges while secretly knowing that there isn't a chance in hell I'd ever let you go.
Because that's the truth, Elena.
You're stuck with me.
You've had years to escape, and yet here you are.
At this point, I think we're both going to have to accept that this friendship is permanent.
No returns.
No exchanges.
No refunds.
And absolutely no borrowing my new dresses without permission.
I mean it.
Mostly.
Okay, fine. You can borrow them.
But you have to ask first.
And you have to give them back.
And if you ruin them, we're going to have a very long conversation.
I love you, but I have standards. 💅😂
Happy Woman Appreciation Wednesday to my best friend, my chosen sister, my Elena. 💗🥂
Thank you for being part of my life. Thank you for loving +)
me through every version of myself. Thank you for the laughter, the memories, and the kind of friendship that makes the difficult days a little easier and the happy days even better.
Thank you for being somebody I can count on, somebody I can be honest with, and somebody who has earned a place in my heart that nobody else could ever replace.
You are so much more than my best friend.
You're my family.
You're one of my favourite people in this entire ridiculous world.
And I love you more than I can ever fit into a single post, even one as ridiculously long as this one.
So here's to you, Gilbert.
Here's to the woman you are, the friend you've been, and all the years of friendship still ahead of us.
Here's to the memories we've made, the ones we're yet to make, and all the times we're going to laugh until we can't breathe over things that absolutely nobody else would understand.
Here's to being there for one another, choosing one another, and reminding one another that we never have to face life alone.
And here's to that damn dress.
May it forever serve as a reminder that even the strongest friendships can survive the most unforgivable of fashion crimes.
I love you, Elena.
More than you know.
More than I say.
And more than a certain stolen dress could ever change.
Now get over here and give your best friend a hug.
And bring my dress.
All my love, all my appreciation, and approximately seventeen complaints about your wardrobe etiquette.
Forever your best friend. Forever your sister by choice. Forever the blonde who loves you enough to forgive you for stealing her clothes.
Caroline Forbes 💗👗🥂
P.S. I still want that dress back.
P.P.S. You look good in it, which is honestly making this whole situation much more difficult.
P.P.P.S. I love you, you little fashion criminal. Never change.
P.P.P.P.S. Seriously, Elena. My dress. 😂💕

💋🥂 WOMAN CRUSH WEDNESDAY | KATHERINE PIERCE 🥂💋
@PiercedDoppel
Or, as I like to call it, the day I publicly admit that Katherine Pierce is ridiculously gorgeous, infuriatingly attractive, and quite possibly the reason my standards have become completely unreasonable.
Okay, so here's the thing.
I had a perfectly good plan for today. I was going to get dressed, look fabulous, drink something delicious, and go about my business like the perfectly composed, emotionally stable woman I pretend to be.
And then I remembered Katherine Pierce exists.
Honestly, it's exhausting being me.
Because how exactly is a girl supposed to concentrate on anything when Katherine Pierce is walking around looking like that? The hair, the eyes, the smile, the attitude, the way she enters a room as though the universe personally arranged itself to make sure she had the best lighting.
It's ridiculous.
It's unfair.
It's a personal attack on every other woman in Mystic Falls who would quite like to feel attractive without having Katherine bloody Pierce wandering around looking like a walking distraction.
And yes, Katherine, if you're reading this, I'm talking about you.
Don't smirk.
Actually, no. Smirk.
It's annoyingly attractive when you do that.
Ugh. See? This is exactly my problem.
Happy Woman Crush Wednesday to my very inconvenient crush, Katherine Pierce. 💋🖤
Now, before anybody starts making assumptions, let me make something perfectly clear. I am Caroline Forbes. I have excellent taste, impeccable standards, and a perfectly respectable understanding of what constitutes an attractive woman.
And apparently, my taste includes a dangerously beautiful brunette with a sharp tongue, a questionable moral compass, and enough confidence to make an entire room forget what they were saying.
I should probably be concerned about that.
Instead, I'm writing a whole post about her.
So much for maintaining my dignity.
Katherine is infuriating. She's manipulative, sarcastic, dramatic, and has a habit of making everything ten times more complicated than it needs to be. She's the kind of woman who could steal your parking space, insult your outfit, ruin your afternoon, and somehow leave you wondering whether you should ask her out for a drink.
Which is honestly a deeply embarrassing thing to admit.
But here we are.
Because, unfortunately for my peace of mind, Katherine Pierce is hot.
There. I said it.
She's HOT.
Capital letters. Bold font. Possibly a public service announcement.
I don't make the rules.
Actually, I do make quite a few rules, but apparently my brain has decided that none of them apply when Katherine smiles at me.
The audacity of this woman.
Does she have any idea what she's doing? Does she realise that every time she gives me that little smirk, I have to actively remind myself that I am supposed to be annoyed with her?
Because I am supposed to be annoyed with her.
I have a whole list of reasons.
A very long list, actually.
And yet, somehow, the moment she walks into a room looking ridiculously gorgeous, my brain decides that perhaps we should put the list aside for a minute.
Just a minute.
For research purposes.
Obviously.
I am a woman of science.
And my current research suggests that Katherine Pierce is a menace to my concentration.
A beautiful menace.
A dangerously captivating menace.
A menace whose lips I have absolutely no business thinking about this much.
OH MY GOD.
I need a minute.
🥂💋
You know what's even worse? It's not just the obvious stuff. It's not just her face, her hair, or the fact that she could probably wear a bin bag and still somehow make it look like designer couture.
It's the confidence.
The way she carries herself. The way she never seems to need anyone's permission to take up space. The way she looks at somebody as though she already knows exactly what they're thinking and is deciding whether they're worth her time.
It's infuriatingly attractive.
And the voice?
Don't even +)
get me started on the voice.
I have enough problems, Katherine. I do not need you speaking in that tone and making me forget the perfectly good insult I had prepared.
It's rude.
It's downright inconsiderate.
Some of us need a moment to recover.
And if she ever catches me staring, I will simply deny everything.
I'll tell her I was examining her outfit.
Or her hair.
Or the general structural integrity of whatever room we're standing in.
I'm sure she'll believe me.
She won't.
She'll give me that smug little smile, tilt her head, and say something entirely designed to make me blush.
And then I'll want to kiss her.
This is a nightmare.
A very pretty nightmare, but a nightmare nonetheless.
😂💗
And before anyone asks, yes, I am perfectly aware that Katherine Pierce and I have our differences.
We don't exactly have the easiest history. There have been complications, questionable decisions, and enough drama to keep Mystic Falls supplied with gossip for the next century.
I am not pretending she's perfect.
I'm not pretending she's suddenly become an angel.
And I'm certainly not forgetting that she can be an absolute nightmare when she wants to be.
But apparently, my heart has decided that a little danger is attractive.
My brain is filing a formal complaint.
My heart has declined to comment.
And my dignity has left the building entirely.
Because beneath all the sarcasm, the sharp edges, and the endless games, there's a woman who has survived more than most people could imagine. A woman who knows how to stand on her own, who refuses to be easily defeated, and who has a confidence that is impossible to ignore.
I admire that about her.
I admire her intelligence, her determination, and the fact that she refuses to let the world decide who she should be.
And, yes, I admire how absolutely gorgeous she is.
Can we please stop pretending that isn't a significant part of this situation?
I'm only human.
Well, technically a vampire, but you understand what I mean.
And if Katherine ever decides to use that smile on me deliberately, I'm going to need somebody to hold my hand.
Possibly several somebodies.
Preferably somebody who won't laugh when I turn bright pink.
Although, considering the company I keep, that's probably asking too much.
Elena would never let me live it down.
Bonnie would look at me with that expression that says she already knew this was going to happen.
And Katherine?
Katherine would be absolutely insufferable.
She'd walk around with that smug little grin, knowing perfectly well that she had managed to get under my skin without even trying.
She'd probably call me adorable.
Which would be offensive.
And then I'd ask her to say it again.
I need professional help.
Or a date.
Possibly both.
💋🥂
But here's what I really want to say, Katherine.
You're beautiful, yes. Ridiculously, inconveniently, unfairly beautiful.
But it's more than that.
There's something about you that catches my attention even when I'm trying very hard to ignore you. Something that makes me curious about the woman beneath the confidence, the sarcasm, and the carefully constructed walls.
I'd like to know what makes you laugh when you're genuinely happy. I'd like to know what your favourite things are, what makes you soften when you think nobody is watching, and whether there's a side of you that doesn't always need to be three steps ahead of everyone else.
I'd like to see you when you're not trying to win an argument.
Although, let's be honest, I suspect that would be a rare occasion.
I'd like to know what happens when someone looks at you and doesn't expect anything from you except for you to be yourself.
And maybe, just maybe, I'd like the chance to make you smile for reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with your latest scheme.
Because I have a confession, Katherine Pierce.
I don't just think you're gorgeous.
I have a crush on you.
A proper, ridiculous, butterflies-in-my-stomach, suddenly+)
-forgetting-how-to-form-a-sentence kind of crush.
The kind where I find myself wondering whether you're going to be somewhere before I get ready.
The kind where I notice your name on my phone and immediately start smiling.
The kind where I spend an embarrassing amount of time deciding what to wear because there is a very real possibility that you might see me.
Which is ridiculous, because I always look fabulous.
Obviously.
But apparently, even Caroline Forbes is capable of experiencing a little wardrobe-related panic when the woman she's crushing on is Katherine Pierce.
I hope you're happy.
You've made me question my entire emotional stability.
And the worst part?
I'm not entirely sure I want the feeling to go away.
So, Katherine, if you're reading this, consider yourself officially informed.
You are my Woman Crush Wednesday.
You are the reason I'm smiling at my phone like an idiot.
You are the woman who has somehow managed to make me nervous and excited at the same time, which is a deeply inconvenient combination when you're trying to maintain the appearance of being a perfectly composed, fabulous vampire.
And if you happen to be wondering whether I'd say all of this to your face?
Absolutely.
Probably.
With some encouragement.
And perhaps a glass of champagne.
And maybe you'd have to promise not to smirk at me the entire time.
Actually, no. Smirk away.
I'm clearly not strong enough to resist it anyway.
Happy Woman Crush Wednesday, Katherine Pierce. 🖤💋
To the woman who has caught my attention, stolen far too many of my thoughts, and made me reconsider just how much trouble one gorgeous brunette can cause.
You're clever. You're captivating. You're infuriating.
And, sweetheart, you are very, very pretty.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go pretend I didn't just publicly announce that I have a crush on Katherine Pierce.
I'll be in my room.
Possibly screaming into a pillow.
Possibly planning an outfit for the next time I see her.
Possibly both.
And Katherine?
If you happen to be interested in taking a certain blonde vampire out for a drink, I might be persuaded to clear my schedule.
For research purposes, naturally.
Don't make me regret this.
Actually, do.
Just a little.
I'm curious to see what you'll do with it. 😉
With love, a questionable amount of flustered admiration, and absolutely no dignity left whatsoever,
Caroline Forbes 💗🥂
P.S. You're gorgeous. I hate it here.
P.P.S. If you flirt with me after reading this, I cannot be held responsible for my behaviour.
P.P.P.S. If you kiss me, I will probably forget every single complaint I've ever had about you.
P.P.P.P.S. This is your fault, Katherine Pierce. Entirely your fault.
#WomanCrushWednesday #GirlCrush #SameSexCrush #PrettyAndPetty #KatherineHasMyAttention 💋🖤🥂
Jax was on his way to the hospital with her grilled cheese. Her boys were now in school and she couldn't wait.
Hopefully he'll bring her that decent coffee when he stops to get himself a cup.
She couldn't wait for him to get there. The craving for his grilled cheese and chilli jam was getting worse.
Plus, she wanted to see him, even if she wasn't about to admit it to him.
