I’m really lucky to work with some amazing women, had the privilege to listen to a few of them talk about their experiences as part of celebrating women and then on a daily basis working alongside them in fire and police

Longest run in ages and along the river on a beautiful morning, at a nice steady pace of just over 5 min k’s, feeling far stronger than I was 6 months ago
Todays half felt pretty tough
Went out for a PB finished seconds shy of that on a pretty hilly course (no one likes hills!!! *awaits bite)
I set my PB a decade ago on a pan flat course, have to be honest I’m made up with that
After a frustrating evening last night and not being able to get out, I took it out on parkrun and ran my fastest time in 8 years
If I would have stopped listening to my head telling me I couldn’t I might just have made sub 21
Took a leaf out of good man’s book today & found a hill & ran up it, ok it was pretty but that won’t be happening again any time soon
First time sub 22 for a little while,targeting sub 21 now

After ‘retiring’ from marathons and promising my wife I’d never run one again, I remembered running @BrathayEvents Windermere and thought maybe one last time…..
Todays half, we tried to stay consistent whilst pacing and seemed alright after the first big downhill
Was a lovely run and really enjoyed it
