But gosh, an enormous amount of exit fees + leaving behind the ACCN to those that remain. Maybe ND sticks with that, piecing together the remains (ex. Navy).

Miami can’t play the ND card. MAYBE in football. But the ACC isn’t giving them the ND deal for other sports. They burned the BE years ago, they’re unlikely as well. More likely Miami/FSU/Clemson, et al get others to dissolve ACC, create a best of the rest conference. 1 of 2.

B12 doesn’t want them. American won’t take just their football. If ACC gets hit, first it’s inviting B12 West teams, shrink travel for all. MAYBE some American midwest for the same reason. Or USF is ACC’s Florida gets hit. UConn’s in a tough spot.
