XDC Network just crossed $1.5B in tokenized real-world assets — up 41% in a single week.
I wrote up what's actually inside that number, because it's a different animal from typical DeFi TVL:
→ 1,936 individual assets across 14 issuers (not one fund inflating a chart)
→ 93.8% of tracked value is RWA, not speculative liquidity
→ Brazilian credit is the engine — VERT Capital's $1B mandate and Liqi Digital Assets' scaling issuance are driving most of the growth
→ $81.7M staked across 302 validators underpins the security layer settling all of this
The bigger story: this is issuance-driven growth, not price-driven. Real credit instruments — receivables, corporate bonds, agribusiness debt — being originated and brought on-chain because fee-stable, fast-finality infrastructure makes settling thousands of small instruments economically viable in a way high-gas chains can't.
