Portland’s Royal Sonesta: bought for $108.3M in 2016. Now reportedly sold for $6.83M for 220 rooms—just $31,000 per key. A staggering 93.7% price collapse.
This is what happens when government fails at public safety, downtown disorder spirals, Measure 110’s consequences go unaddressed, and Multnomah County’s mental-health system fails people in crisis.
Tourism doesn’t thrive where visitors feel unsafe and downtown businesses struggle to survive.
Portland didn’t get here by accident. Policy choices have consequences—and taxpayers, workers, businesses, and property owners are paying the price.

Are we finally allowed to admit that The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025) completely wasted Galactus once the helmet hype wore off ?
Galactus was supposed to wield the Power Cosmic, matter manipulation, cosmic eye beams, telekinesis, and size alteration. Yet in the final battle, he just lumbers down the street trying to grab baby Franklin with his bare hands like King Kong while letting the team jump on him.
Expecting us to believe Sue Storm’s force field and a last second tackle could physically push the Devourer of Worlds down the street and lock him inside a portal, without him firing a single cosmic blast or teleporting himself right back, completely killed his aura.
The whole point of introducing Galactus was supposed to be an unstoppable force of nature who destroys Earth 828 and forces the family into the main MCU timeline. Having him lose in his debut movie turned a Multiversal apex predator into a one off villain of the week.
Nailing the Jack Kirby costume design means nothing if you write Galactus like a big dumb giant who forgets he has cosmic superpowers the second a fight starts.

NEW: Brian Kelly says the Maryland, Baylor and NC State openings are all “unique” when asked about the best job:
"We’re talking about ACC, Big 12, and the Big Ten. From a conference standpoint, the Big Ten obviously has proved itself to have that kind of appeal, right? With Maryland, it is a fertile recruiting area. There’s no doubt that that DMV area is a really good recruiting area. I think they’ve done great things in terms of upgrading facilities."

🚨#BREAKING: A family in Georgia is outraged after they paid to have their 4-year-old pug named Cha Cha euthanized...
...and then MONTHS LATER later saw a photo on Facebook of their dog ALIVE AND WELL with a vet from the animal hospital
The story is wild.
According to the family, Cha Cha the dog got very sick, the vets told them it was organ failure and diabetic ketoacidosis... so the family decided euthanisia was the best course of action.
The family said goodbye in March, paid the bill, and went home grieving.
But according to the family, someone at that hospital was very attached to Cha Cha, because a worker took her home instead.
Months later, Rebecca (the owner of Cha Cha) was scrolling Facebook and saw a photo.
Her words: “I knew scrolling like that’s my dog.”
Even more wild...the vet's husband confirmed it, his wife not only had Cha Cha, but he says the pug was in GOOD HEALTH.
The dog they were told was dying was actually ALIVE and DOING WELL.
But it gets worse.
When the family went to the hospital, managers DENIED IT, Rebecca says they got a LAWYER and won’t talk about it.
Then, the family believes, the hospital put Cha Cha down to hide what happened.
Rebecca’s words:
“The fact that they put a healthy dog down. That’s just sick.”
And this is NOT the first time.
Earlier this year, another family said their cat Annie was supposed to be euthanized at the SAME hospital, and a worker took her home too.
The hospital admitted it “fell short” that time.
And Annie? She was put down too.
So twice now, a dog or cat has been alive and cared for after the family said goodbye.
...this is beyond insane
